Find a recording of yesterday's game and look at it in its entirety several times. Then you will realise that Jenas was our best player by a mile...............
.. We had several excellent performances, Townsend and Remy among them, but Jenas was an oasis of calm at the centre of the team, in very difficult circumstances with 10 men. We don't have to agree though.
Good Lad...just the sort we need next year. A bit of class, hard worker....and a managable ego.....and he likes it at the RRRS and is grateful to us... That is the first one on board and a good one. The new era starts here
I agree. The lad could hardly walk near the end after all the running about he did. I think at one point he had 4 players on him. He was true class yesterday.
Jenas is probably the best signing the club have made since our promotion. Instrumental to our near future success imo.
Townsend was excellent and probably our best player but certainly not by a country mile as I thought Jenas had an excellent game.
Generally I've not been too impressed with Jenas since he arrived. That may be because Townsend has outshone him (and everyone else). I think he will be a good Championship midfielder but without a dramatic upturn in form an England berth is as fanciful as SWP's claim to the same thing.
Jenas has been quietly getting on with things, has battled away and generally kept the ball ticking over. He doesn't have the legs for box to box anymore but certainly has a brain on him. Shame he couldn't share a bit with Mbia. He's doing the job that Granero's talent could do without breaking swerat but he evidently also couldn't give a s..
Good lad and great sentiments. If he could put away a few more like his Sunderland strike, that would be a bonus.
If Jenas gets back into the England squad after we've gone down I'll donate a month's salary to the Margaret Thatcher statue fund.
Well said SB i love you . I thought Wigan were clueless against him ... he moped up everything he could around him and distributed the ball with elegance. Townsend was very good but when he cuts ins did you sees how Wigan lined up to force him across the park. I also ended up in Burger of the king yesterday at 2pm to my relief they fancied that and I saved 35 quid. Got a lovely kilo of mince from Uxbridge and at one point thought about smearing it all over my head after that ... tok it back home instead and had a chilli. I will meet up before the end of the season with the board
