I wonder how many fans will wear the fake Hitler Tash on Sunday? I can see a lot of Sieg Heils and Nazi Salutes being aimed at Paulo de Facist on Sunday..!! Thoughts anyone??
My thoughts are that I don't want to see any football fans, and especially Toon supporters, making Nazi salutes under any circumstances. While I appreciate that the intent would be to show the opposite of support for fascism, making fascist salutes is easily misunderstood, and a slippery road to start going down
I really hope NONE of our fans do any of that. If they did they would be disrespecting the millions who have died at the hands of Fascism, as well as dragging our club into the gutter. The game will be beamed around the world also. I can see how this thread will develop given the emotive topic so will close it.
Lads I think we have to remember that it would just be tongue in cheek banter. I honestly don't think it disrespects anybody, or is reflection on the club as a whole. We have got to be careful of buying too much into the mega PC world and being over sensitive to the point where we mistake humour for genuine support for certain ideology.
I think it's fair to say we'll be the models of diplomacy, I didn't see anyone masturbating when Allardyce came back with West Ham despite the fact we all thought he was a wa*ker.
