The road to Europe started last season with the terrific performances in the PL... it's a winding road and may even have a road block in it on Thursday night..... but what memories and what an utter buzz European nights can bring.

I'm not confident at all and I'm not even sure we should be bothering with this match. Seems to be too much for NUFC to do from a 0-0 start at the moment!

HOWEVER – I hope they give it a good go, restore some pride and do it for you guys mainly, but primarily the absolutely legendary support that have traveled in Europe this campaign.

If anyone deserved a stunning turnaround at an electric SJP it's the good people who went to Russia, Portugal etc and have sold this game out already.

The scenes at the end of Saturday's game are enough to communicate to the players just how incredible it would be to finally deliver trophy success to the best fans in the world.

Can you imagine the atmosphere if we do pull it off though? It will be a night to remember. Even if we don't go through then a win will help improve our already impressive record in the competition. I love our European nights and really hope we do ourselves proud by giving it a good go.

 

Yeah it would be amazing. Could be the last taste of European football for the foreseeable too so I hope the players that have ambitions for these kinds of occasions show hunger from minute one.

If we get genuine application, fight and endeavor for 90 mins then the fans won't complain if through or not... Simples!

 

Unless we go and win the thing of course!
