Morning Barry - wintery up here too after more overnight snowfall. I'm currently snug inside though - it's Finals time in the A-League and Brisbane are playing Adelaide after a very late charge up the ladder saw them finish in 5th spot. They've just taken the lead too

Afternoon from a bright and sunny bandit country - up to a massive 10C when I dropped daughter at the station. I think I have just about read everything there is to read on this MB now - but a purported Watford supporter wishing us to lose is very unpalatable.
Can never understand when some one wishes ill of their team for what ever reason they give and in this case having read their argument i think its a little attention seeking. It will be fun at work tomorrow in Bandit country i shall in enjoy their weekend result in its fullest.
It was in the "unmentionable" thread posts #25 and #30. To be fair the argument was that he does not consider the way we are achieving our current success is sustainable and is slightly underhand and as such does not wish success in these circumstances. I cannot agree with those views in current conditions but I can imagine some unlikely scenario where I believed my club were so wrong that I could hope that something would inspire a regime change. To actually state I did not wish them success though is probably a bridge too far for me
Flitton, I had fun last night in my local which is just down the road from you - they are not happy bunnies.
Lenny - Surely the decent thing to do in that case, is just stop supporting that team and take up something else to fill the void? Why argue what a great supporter you are whilst not wishing the club well? It's perverse...
Well that may be how you or I might respond but not everyone. The same argument is sometimes made when someone disagrees with an organisation they belong ot and people say " just leave" but sometimes you do not want to leave and prefer to work from within to effect change. I respect the right to say "I am a long time supporter but don't like how things are now but hope to see change happen" We all deal with issues in our own way
Or you just form your own club like A.F.C. Wimbledon or United of Manchester - if things get too bad that is !
Nobody can claim to be a supporter and not wish the team to win. There are things a supporter may not like and all are free to criticize any regime but to be a supporter one must support through highs n lows in sickness and health, for richer for poorer..
There's been a bit of puzzlement over the poor attendances at The Vic - especially with yesterday's game only attracting 15.500 or so. I suspect that the Pozzo's may actually be happy with that after seeing the attendance for Udinese's win in Serie A this weekend - only 5200. At least Granada attracted 20,000 for their home fixture - pity they got thrashed 1-5 though.

How come it's so warm up there AK? -5C here, although we have blue skies and sunshine with it. Am thinking of seeking a warmer climate - any opportunities up there for non-Icelandic speaking teachers?
