Mathematically you are wrong again Tobes. It is still possible for us to get 5th place. Given your performance record over the last 10 years then the probability is that you will loose more than you winin the run-in. Just have to wait and see.

I don't have to wait & see Dave, I'm confident that you won't finish 5th, as there's better teams ahead of you in that race. I'm not saying we'll get it either btw, but I'm certain you lot won't.

btw Dave we've finished the season with fantastic form in recent years, so I'd check your own facts mate. <ok>

Central midfield has been our problem for a long time - Alonso's departure and Gerrard's injuries have played their part.

Lucas is still finding his form and fitness but I thought he had a decent game in terms of winning the ball and reading the game. His passing and distribution has been poor. Henderson had an off day IMO - seemed lost with the ball and slightly rushed and panicked.

Our play in the final 3rd was terrible and our attack let us down (not said this in a while!). Coutinho was lively but Suarez really struggled - his passing was atrocious and nothing came off for him. Having said that, Collins did a great job on him (bar a couple of cheeky nutmegs). His effort and determination were as high as ever. Sturridge was quiet but did conjure a couple of decent efforts.

Was it me is was Sturridge playing on the wing with Suarez in the centre? If so, Sturridge should definitely stick to being in the centre - the attack looks a lot more balanced.
