His season is probably over. Time to say thank you for the effort and desire this lad shows. Son of Steve or not he doesn't let us down. He's not a natural midfielder but he applies himself, everyone knows he's a defender and a solid one. Get off his back. I had doubts over his recruitment as many did but he's proved me wrong. (4-4-2 may suit us rest of the season anyway, teams have sussed out the 3-5-2..) Thanks Alex and get well soon..
He's done a job and a fairly good one at that. Naturally we would want a more established midfield general but he's certainly helped us be where we are.
Well done in defence, other than the odd wobble here and there he's been solid as a cock and had a good season. If you're reading this, call your dad a **** for playing you in midfield and making you look ****
Some great performances in defence, and though not the best in midfield,Alex did a job. Why did the Leeds forum take the piss when we signed him ? Especially as they all pointed to their defence being the problem last season.
He's either Mr Sicknote or the gamest defender we've ever had. Always in the wars and never shirks a challenge
Good job Alex. You've taken a lot of heat but always gave 100% and put your body on the line. Best wishes for a speedy recovery son. You're a chip off the old block!!
Im glad that he has proved so many people wrong, Alex does a job and gets stuck in and sometimes hurt for the team.
He's been a revelation in defence - consistently solid and a key member of the squad. We've been fortunate to have several excellent central defenders at the heart of our team and none of them has let us down. Chester, Hobbs, McShane, Faye and Bruce - all done a great job for the team this season whatever happens.
I think he was under a lot of pressure with the nepotism claims and the Leeds fans calling him ****e and he still managed to slot seamlessly into our defence. Whenever he was called upon a job, he'd do it. Even in the midfield position. Great effort lad, I wish you a speedy recovery.
He seemed to get a smash in the face just before this too - claret on face and arms, prolonged cold sponge held to head.
