Man, I hate this thread. I'm just happy that we won three in a row and I think we will survive and it'll be a successful season regardless of what happens against West Ham. I've been stressed out all season, just want to relax a game. You guys keep ratcheting up the pressure with all this West Ham banter.
Who wouldn't want to behold the spectacle that is a team that started time-wasting on throw-ins 25 minutes into the game?
Haha I'm very much in this boat. I prefer just to make a little mental note of things like this and then perhaps have a quiet word when all is said and done, ironically by rubbing it in Trixter's face, as he did to us, all you're doing is opening yourself up to the same ridicule should the pendulum swing back in the Hammers direction next week! Not that it matters though, because it won't.
And there I was thinking by not bumping this thread during the last few weeks while West Ham were above Southampton (something I know a lot of you would not have done if the roles were reversed) it would put an end to this pointless rivalry that does nothing but add hate and tension between both sets of fans. I would just like to add that whoever has bumped this thread has ended up regretting it in the not too distant future; notice how you all suddenly stopped bumping it after giving it large in February…
I don't think people would be so interested if Trixter hadn't taken the greatest delight in rubbing WHU's early season success, and Saints early season problems, in people's faces. I'm not one to get involved in these things, but it even got to me a bit. It's all a bit of fun anyway - as long as it stays that way, that is.
T'was me the 'bumper'! It is a little bit of light-hearted banter - I'm sure trixster sees it that way. Last year's thread of "And that my friends is how to win away", was one of the seminal threads on the not606 board. I am sure we will both be safe and close to each other come May and I don't see either sets of fans to have anything to rub in each other's faces. Now if this was a thread bumped against a relegation rival that would be different - something I feel no Saints fan would do mid-season! No7
Says the person who started an extra match thread before our game in October just to slag the West Ham fans off, how many times have you done that to other teams? Not to mention all the saints fans who came on our board at the end of last season to brag
I agree with Bzzzzz. We'd never have had West Ham fans on our board if things had panned out differently...
Don't take it so personally. For me, and I imagine many others, the joy of being above you for now (I don't imagine it'll last long) is in how overconfident Trixter was. I'm more than ready to rub it in his face.
