Faye Chester Quinn Special mentions also to the 3 subs who positively changed the game when they came on.
Seventh mate, and it looks like hell overtake Elmo in sixth and join Brady on 21 points. The full up to date table is on the Watford MOM thread towards the end if anyones interested.
Faye - imperious performance, class on the ground, monstrous in the air and gave miller nothing. Chester - comfy on the ball, always uses it well and defensively sound. Stockdale - made a couple of good saves and one exceptional reflex stop from McDonald's flick, punched when he should punch and caught when he should catch, nice and vocal too. honourable mention for Rosenior who looked solid, hungry and potent going forward and quite frankly pee'd on Elmo from the moment he came on.
Many wont have understood that point ^^^^ nevermind seen it. It was a massive win when you consider all the walking wounded and players playing with knocks. As for those wan kers booing Bruce jnr they need shooting. Then again they are no doubt the same ones who used to boo Ian Ashbee. Utter disgrace to boo your own players. Everyone who took part in the Middlesboro game did played a part in the win. With a full week off now before Ipswich, Steve Bruce has to plan to use the full squad thats left fit in the following 3 games in less than a week. Fresh legs will be needed but its the same for all teams. Hopefully Fryatt can at least be considered for a place on the bench.
Bruce didn't have a good game but I didn't hear any boo's for him. I heard Boo's for the ref but he deserved them
I'm no fan of Bruce, but I didn't think he had a bad game whilst he was on yesterday, even if him going off actually helped us (on the day at least!)
To be fair, where I am I haven't even heard much stick for him coming from the fans. Criticism has solely been reserved for Koren in recent games. Anyway, my top three: Faye Chester Stockdale A very good defensive performance yesterday, up front looked a bit worrying but we won so I'll leave it there for now.
Very pleasing to hear a strong rendition of the Liam Rosenior song at full time. Always liked Rosenior, an excellent player with a lot of heart who happens to have been the one to make way for our system this year. I think he'll play an important role from now until the end of the season. Let's be honest, pace to burn down that right flank with him and Elmo both there.
Could see how much it meant to him as well, came right up to the East stand at the end, which most players don't. I like him, and I still think he's one of the best right backs outside the Premier League whose filled in alright at wing back when he's had to.
