If you look at the current form tables Sunderland have taken two points from their last six games,Stoke just one. Both have what would be regarded as harder than average fixtures. This for me raises the possibility of a 36-7 point safety mark.If you beat the Pie Eaters it could be just do-able?
I have been saying this for a while. 36-37 pts could be enough. We still need to win at least 4 of our last 7 and pick up a couple of unlikely draws too though!
I feel that this team when really squeezed can perform plus Villa games will have a lot to say on what happens : Man Utd could get the title against them so 0 points Chelses should beat them also 0 points Pick this lot out: Sunderland, Norwich, Wigan ... all tight matches if they don't beat Fulham next week. I didn't think Norwich looked good on MOTD ... Arsenal may overrun them next week and then who knows? We have to play well today and win ... if we don't then we will do it the hard way
If it's going to be done that way i fancy us to nick a point against Liverpool rather than Arsenal, and maybe just for safety's sake maybe another from Everton as i think goal difference might come into play.
We would need to beat Arsenal, as well, unless we win at Everton. Five wins, 38 points is needed, otherwise it wont be enough. WE CAN DO IT!
We've won 4 games all season in roughly 5/6 of the season and need to win the same amount of games in roughly 1/6 of the season. Would be the greatest escape in PL history IMO.
Going forward we look a very good side and that's what is baffling people the fact that we can control premier league football matches for long periods and still beat ourselves
Even so, these games are very winnable, and we are playing well. Momentum and taking one game at a time...
Still need 6 wins to give us a decent chance. A win today is one of the 2 most necessary with the Reading game, as Reading, Sunderland and Wigan are the teams we got the best chance of getting past.
Only 8/1 to stay up. Bookies seem to think we might still be in with a chance. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/to-stay-up
