Please explain what you mean by "below us alphabetically" only I think L as in Liverpool and C as in Chelsea are both below S in Southampton alphabetically and we all know what happened to them recently at St Mary's.

I think after us alphabetically would have been a more appropriate way to put it.
Seems quite obvious to me. At the start of every season the league is laid out in alphabetical order, with Arsenal, Aston Villa, etc.. at the top and whoever [West Brom, West Ham, Wigan] at the bottom. I believe our OP means this particular order.
As a result of this stat I now believe we will now lose all our games and go down on goal difference by one goal. Gulys open goal miss yesterday was the deciding factor and he has to ship all the blame!

Most normal people would associate the letter 'a' as the 1st number and 'z' as the 26th number. I would, therefore, say that I am justified to think that 't,u,v,w,x,y,z' comes after the letter 's'. I know you always try to make yourself out to be this highly intelligent grammar Nazi, but sometimes Godders you just post crap for the sake of it.
to be fair, it confused me a bit! saying after is generally what you say about the alphabet! i.e Z is after Y, and not S is below R...
