Try losing your best player next season then. Shouldn't be too hard

No you have JUST lost your best 2 players (FALE and Lemmon ) to injury for a few weeks.

Try losing your best player , in fact THE top scorer in the whole league , for the WHOLE season , then come back and talk about excuses.

This season you truly are a one man team .

Wheras last season we were not.

For instance , when we THRASHED you 5 - 2 Van Judas only scored one of them 5 goals .

But we were still a "one man team " ..sure :emoticon-0114-dull:

That's a fair argument but to be fair Arsenal have had many key injuries to players and have had to cope with losing what was comfortably the best striker (player in general) in the Premier League having to rely on a striker struggling to find his feet in the PL. Also, media scrutiny on Arsenal is intense and largely negative whereas at Spurs it's the opposite, that would undoubtedly have an effect on both clubs.

I definitely agree Spurs have overachieved but then so have Arsenal. I'd say we've massively underachieved but given who is in charge of us at the moment it's easy to say the opposite.

Arsenal's striker might be struggling to find his feet, ours are just struggling to find the ball.

He found the back of the net on Thursday though. Unlike Giroud, there is no real excuse for Adebayor, but he has scored some vital goals for you in the Europa, still got another gear to find, whether he finds or not could dictate your top 4 chances seeing as Defoe is out.

Ade has done a lot of work up front for Bale and others, now he can move back into the centre. If he finds his form we can look at top 3.

It'll be interesting to see Tottenhams results over there next few fixtures with no bale or lemon, they are both quick and give tottenham real pace on the counter and also good width. Im not a big lennon fan but there are no ready made replacements i can see in the spurs squad. Even a couple of poor results at this stage of the season can make a big difference and Bale has carried spurs in a big way so far.

We've underachieved this season for quite a few reasons:

1- We sold our best striker, and not just Arsenal's best striker, but one of the best strikers in the EPL, you're crying about losing Bale and other players, we've lost our key striker forever, that's always going to hurt.

2- We had a new team building up for a while this season, took time for the new players to gel and fit in, not to mention the fact that many other players were purchased last season, and with the return of Wilshere, you literally have the makings of a new team all learning to play with each other, and obviously this would take time for them to start getting it together and playing like a team effectively, and we badly suffered from that.

3- We didn't make the needed reinforcements, we made good signings, but needed more, we needed at least another striker of more quality to well and truly replace RVP, as well as needing another midfielder to replace Song, which we didn't, and that was obviously going to hurt us.

But the team seem to be getting it together now, and thankfully, I don't see us losing any star player this summer, a first in a long time, and that's vital, because every time we seem to be getting somewhere, we would lose a key player and a break up of the team would happen, leaving us to start again, basically 2 steps forward, and one backward, this summer I only see us building on the team, adding new players, rather than adding replacements to fill in the shoes of star players that left in the summer.

This season isn't over yet, but it's brewing up nicely for an exciting finish <ok> We have got great momentum at the moment, let's see how Spurs do at home tomorrow against Everton. That game will be a key indicator of where those teams and the ones around them might finish.

It's quite simple, without Bale you'd be 10th or something like that. his presence just makes more space for everyone else.

Even so, he's had 1 very good calendar year in his whole career <laugh> HIAG mentions him Ronaldo and Messi in the same sentence<laugh>
