I have had a look at the fixtures and who plays who etc... and both Wigan and QPR have quite a nice run in - especially April. I think this is how the bubble will look. S'land - 30 Points + 9 = 39 Points Wig - 24 Points + 12 = 36 Points Villa - 27 Points + 9 = 36 Points QPR - 23 Points +12 = 35 Points S'Ham - 28 Points + 7 = 35 Points Read - 23 Points + 6 = 29 Points I think even on the darkest days we are capable of picking up at least 6 points.
Need to beat Villa for my 7-10, on todays performance can't see it happening, i've already dimissed the idea of getting anything at Everton which is rather sad really.
Jowler I'm ever the optimist but Everton away next? Not a chance in hell of even a pt... Oh whoever said Pulis can't fook that up. You sure bout that? He's doing his best IMO.
So it's a 4 points from 7 games and the maximum we can get is 7 points and th Villa game will be a 6 pointer - literally! I am sure you are all aware that is 1 win in 10 and the worst from in the league! 1 win in 25 away games and only 25 points in our last 35 away games!
Which is why we should keep that thread going Smither's PULIS OUT! I've not seen the game, nor listened to it! I did listen to P and G and it seem's more and more fans are bricking it! I know I am. Any links to a TP Clueliss interview would be appreciated too! I can't find what his excues are anywhere. May as well blame me cos I really don't give a **** anymore tbh. We NEED a goal and he takes Crouch off? We had ZERO wingers Ether's and whoever? Bring on the Villa now before I have a bloody heart attack, it's gonna be a long week for me!
Well there it is, 4 points from the last 8 games which confirms we have the worst premier league record since xmas. 1 win in the last 13 games, 1 point from the last six fixtures in which we have only scored 2 goals. This reiterates the fact that we are the leagues lowest scoring team on 28 goals in 32 games. For what its worth well done to the following for getting the poll right, although I suspect this one you wish we had got wrong! astroturfnaut, crazy-4-stoke, Joe3White, koskikabow, oldnickyb, Pottermouth 328, ProudPotter, Stokielad01, StokieSmit, Tash.
But I would much rather to have been criticised for wrongly underestimating our team's performances. Sadly , I and others were not wrong. And it has to be said , it was there for all to see what was coming. I know some fans were commenting more in hope and trying to stay upbeat when they posted that it was not likely that we would be dragged into the drop zone , but surely we all saw the signs from January. Quite rightly many of us have repeatedley criticised Clulis for his ineptitude. But should some criticism be aimed at some of the players also. I say ALSO not INSTEAD OF. I wonder , do any of the players have relegation release clauses in their contracts , and who would be happy to depart this summer , and who therefore are at the moment , not giving of their best ? I put today's match as 0-0 on the predictor. WRONG ! So my forecast of finishing on 37 points ( remarkably in 14th place ) looks to be out of the window. I just hope and pray that somehow there will be three teams below us at the death. And a second fervent prayer that Clulis will not be here next season.
Kos I didn't predict on that poll todays game but you are quite right. I think it's now hope that THREE teams end the season on less pts. Sadly, all apart from Reading have a game in hand on us. Wigan have two and we know what Wigan always do.. survive. That leaves Sunderland, Villa, Newcastle ALL will get a least one more win this season IMO. so in short.. We might well be fooked.
Good post and I too just hope that 3 teams do finish below us at the end. Reading, QPR are 2, the 3rd will come from Villa, Wigan, Sunderland, Norwich and Stoke. We should never have got into this position and the blame must lie with Pulis.
