So, some interesting news is coming out about our pre season campaign. Liverpool are set to participate in its first ever tour of Australia. Football has began to become very popular in Australia over the last few years and this could be a great opportunity for the club to expand its global strength even further. this particularly means a lot to Australian keeper Brad Jones. http://epltalk.com/2013/04/02/liver...ounces-summer-tour-to-australia-and-thailand/ A trip to Thailand will also be made this summer.
sorry to australia but the thai trip is the money maker. I fail to see how on earth this is any sort of preparation for a season. You spend and entire 2/3 days flying (multiple countries), and end up jet lagged. you might as well write of 2 weeks of pre-season.... but i understand the money aspect.
I've done the trip many times, I've done it all in the one go sitting in Economy and I've also broken it up by going to Asia / Middle East first. Whilst Im no elite athlete and haven't had to play a competitive game of footy afterwards (full days of proper work though!) I'm sure the poor babies will be fine, look at the travelling Suarez has had to do and the effects (lack of) its had on his effort. I'd also much prefer to do my pre-season training somewhere exciting and interesting, I'm sure it keeps the players more interested (and focused away from daily life). Also in regards to the money spinning issue, have you seen the strength of the Australian Dollar lately?
That's a fairly safe bet. Not been outsise county since September and not the country for almost ten years, furthest I've ever been is Greece!
