We went from cruising to victory to being very lucky.

WBA should have scored at least 2 more since the red.

Lucky 3 points. Could be another miracle 4th place at this rate.

We got lucky, but all teams get lucky. We needed and got the 3 points.

nah, i'd prefer 3rd, at least we'd get auto qualification to the CL, and more importantly, finish above Spurs.

Wow... too close for comfort. I'm happy with the three points despite the fact we nearly threw the game away.

We're now just 1 point behind spurs on the same games played with 12 better goal difference. And a point ahead of Chelsea who have the same goal difference but a game in hand.

The race for the top 3 is well and truely on.

Hopefully Everton can get something against Spurs with bale and lennon out and we will be in a position to leapfrog them in our fixture against Norwich. With sunderland now fighting against relegation i'm also hoping they have enough about them to grab a draw against Chelsea. If either team slip up we are in a great position to secure CL football with the fixtures remaining for the 3 teams.

Can't see Spurs beating Everton an hopefully S'land can use the new manager syndrome to their advantage (remember how they beat City when MON first showed up)

No way will Sunderland beat Chelsea tomorrow. They'll be worse under PDC than they were under MON. MON may be a ****e manager, but at least he had PL experience.

We'll see. I've seen bigger upsets, though I think the best S'Land can hope for is a draw.

I think Chelsea will probably beat Sunderland but if di canio can get them riled up and Chelsea minds are on the cup competitions they might scrape a draw. I have more faith that Everton will get a good result against spurs though. I think with there current injuries spurs will struggle to create chances and Everton will want to have a strong finish to the season so will be up for it.

Today's game may have a beneficial impact for us. I'm sure after the red both Chelsea and spurs expected us to collapse and lose. The win not only puts more pressure on them but may hopefully leave them a bit deflated. Irrespective it's a rather bizzare scenario as matters stand since all of spurs, Chelsea and arsenal have top four qualification within their own hands considering Chelsea and spurs play each other. Wouldn't rule everton out either.

I think Chelsea will thrash S'Land, but the new manager certainly makes it unpredictable.
