According to their statement they are saying that they did: As can be seen from the above we had hoped to cooperate in this with the authorities but have been denied that opportunity by the combined decisions of Glasgow City Council and the Police Service of Scotland.
Ok the last Demo to be accurate. It may not have been organised by the GB but it is for their benefit and I'm pretty confident that it will be - by and large - the same group of individuals who took part in the last march who will be marching again.
The Council took the decision not to expedite the application. The Police took the decision not to facilitate the march.
It is for the benefit of all fans. I would agree that most of the same persons would be present. It was an utterly stupid decision not to facilitate the march. Potentially negligent on their part.
Yup, I think my point is when both sides see the authority as being against them then the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.
The original march was organised by the GB and its cause was the removal of fans from the ground by police for no reason (allegedly) Todays static protest was organised by FAC and although spurred on by the actions of the police last time is not a GB operation Motherwell, Dundee Utd and Hibs fans were there today
These people are morons:
You don't get the law changed by protesting to the Police, especially by 5 people holding placards and talking one sided nonsense. That woman says her son has not done anything wrong, how does she know? Does she go to games with him? The simple fact is she doesn't so she should have saved her breath. I personally don't give a tinker's cuss about this law because it does not affect me nor should it concern any law abiding football fan. It seems to me that the people complaining loudest are the Celtic and Rangers fan groups. I'm inclined not to take their word for anything.
So far not one GB member arrested has been convicted. The judges themselves think this law is absurd. I don't do protests but good on those who do
