Have you got shares in Ramirez!? I know we've had this debate before but even you have to admit he was poor today. It wasn't just his miss, he gave the ball away too much and had poor control at times. But worse was the fact that he was just playing as another central midfielder thereby crowding out the others. He might have been doing what he was told so, fair enough. But we were so much better with Adam on the pitch.
It was the only thing I could say. Your comments today about him show, to me, an ignorance of football. I was stunned that you or anyone could make a comment after a missed, easy chance. I apologise for the personal dig, no need from me, but stand by my belief that your comments show a misunderstanding of football.
I get plenty of criticism thank you very much. And I don't even earn 40k a week. And I don't understand how it shows an ignorance of football. Did I say something that wasn't true? He was crap today like he's been most of the season. That's how I see it.
Guillem Balague on Twitter: "You can praise Pochettino but it all starts with the vision. Well done mr. Cortese..." Gabriele Marcotti on Twitter: "Remember the serfs who crucified him for replacing Pardew w/Adkins? Then Adkins/wPochettino?"
They must be trying to cover for Lawro. Also comes following their match preview that said we lost to Chelsea.
Come on fatletiss. I know one game does not mean that Ramirez is a crap player, of course it doesn't. But surely you have to at least agree that he didn't play well today?
Yes, we were, however did anyone else hear the commentators mention how creative he was for some of our chances, or did you choose not to see that? All I am saying is that he is quality and will be a fabulous player. Fans getting on his back when they play for his team, I find shocking. He is in his first season and will be very, very good.
Someone ought to tell them that reality is somewhat different from what goes on inside Lawrenson's mind.
I also can point out several bits of stunning control when he pulled it out the air, to counter the times he also lost control. Anyone see how bad Rickie's touch was on the edge of their area about 20 mins to go??? I still thought he was great though.
I haven't said he was great LFF. Read back, I had a go at Oli for needlessly suggesting we should sell h. It seems my son is sticking up for a saints player. I thought he held on to the ball too often today. He was very creative first half but not in it second half.
Its not a question of getting on his back. What would be the point if we just came on here and said how great everyone was all the time? Ramirez may well be immense in years to come but he just didn't play well today.
he played a few great passes, and a few that didn't come off. It seems you only noticed the ones that didn't come off.
Indeed. Every player goes in and out form. It's inevitable and it's human. Quality will out though, and Ramirez is quality.
Why? Rodriguez is playing well for us now. He wasn't playing so well earlier in the season. Criticising someone's performance is not "slagging off".
