This was always going to be a tough game against a very motivated team who are a little short of quality. So it's proving.
Phew. Come on Saints. Need to pick it up in the second half. Reading have 45 minutes to save their season would expect them to really attack us in the second half.
Reading seem to be playing quite well, but we have so much more quality than them. I'm not sure why they're hoofing up to Le Fondre, Hooiveld is going to win high balls against him all day long. Reading do look dangerous down the wings, lets hope our young and excellent full backs have a great second half. I think the goal is going to be really important for our play, Reading will surely open up more and we look so dangerous with Rodriguez on the counter.
Interesting that Rodriguez first look after the goal went in was at the ref. Probably shows his naivety there. The likes of Rooney, Suarez etc would have wheeled straight away in celebration.
And to be fair it seems the ref has got all the big decisions right, and those just happen to be in our favour...
I shouldn't be surprised to see it, but Reading pressurised Saints for a good 20 minutes of that 1st half. The rest was fairly equal, Saints individual quality is the difference between the teams. Rodriguez is really dominating Reading's defence when he gets it, and Lambert is just quality as usual. Ramirez is passing all over the pitch. The rest are doing the right things.
Let's not concede for the first 15 minutes and if we can get another in that time then we'll be in a great position. Stating the obvious is my forte. Maybe I could get a job for the BBC.... Second half will be tough. Reading have 45 minutes to save their season.
