makes sense really. You need to keep players that are settled and willing to fight for your team. If we are looking at Olsson as well then I suspect we are looking for that left sided Whittaker type player. So If next year we have a defensive compliment of say: Garrido, A.N.O(LB), Bassong, Turner, Davies, R.Bennett, Whittaker and R.Martin that's a pretty complete set of defenders capable of filling in and all capable of doing a job.
Yes, very good read. Interesting that it sounds like he had to fulfil the conditions, though that might be my reading - e.g. Playing 25 games before we would keep him on. That makes it sound like we were giving him an extended trial. Also great to know that the dressing room is as lively and welcoming as ever. Kamara said something similar.
Of course. And I was being facetious too. Sorry, I should have made that clear with an emoticon, I guess. I'm not very good at this high-tech stuff.
Yeah, seems like a nice guy...shame he is fookin useless! Cant attack, no creativity, gets caught out of position (see todays 2nd goal for swans as a perfect eg) all too often, he is slow and today people were passing and dribbling round him like he wasnt there! For me the irony of the title to this thread is hilarious... "if we stay up" when he is, at best a Championship left back!
I think he's struggled having Snodgrass in front of him recently, as Snoddy doesn't track back as much as Pilks does. With the opposite full-back attacking a lot like today, he frequently was left in a 2v1 situation.
Iv noticed it whoever is infront of him if im honest. He cant push on either as he is too slow to get back so he just gets caught in no-mans-land all the time.
