Love how it manages to poke fun at every single hole in the plot of the movie.

So the girl I mentioned has postponed. Sigh, this is why I shouldn't get excited by anything, it nearly always leads to disappointment I think. The only time excitement has not led to disappointment was for the Olympics last year.

Said that her dad was coming down to London and wanted to go out for dinner that day so she couldn't make it.

Hmmm, fair enough. Just have to try again! Doesn't seem particularly evasive. Although if you get multiple postponements I'd suggest otherwise.

Depends if she offered to rearrange it or not. If no it's a pretty big hint she isn't that interested.

Well, we've arranged another day at least, she suggested another date. I can't reply to her most recent text though as she's gone to bed and I don't want to wake her up so I'll reply in the morning.

I'm just sick of always having to wait though. In the past I've wasted so much time waiting before messaging someone, usually in situations where a positive outcome is unlikely or waiting in the hope for something happening when it usually doesn't. Like one person years ago who ended up going out with someone else, or another person who just kinda cut me off. After all that, I don't want to waste time pinning my hopes one something which is unlikely.

Not everyone is gonna be like that. Maybe this girl really likes you, and it's just unfortunate that she had other plans to attend to. She's arranged another day, that's a start, right?

Arsenal are considering a £8.5m move for for Atletico Madrid'sAdrian Lopez, 25, although Southampton manager Maurico Pochettino is also an admirer of the striker, who played under him at Espanyol.

What I find slightly bewildering is why a highly profitable Arsenal should be considering strikers in the £8.5M bracket..? That's not to suggest that this player is good or bad, but it wasn't that many years ago that Arsenal were amongst the best teams in the World. Now they are having difficulty remaining as one of the best teams in England. Or does Wenger think he can unearth some rough diamond, that he can polish, every time he bids for a player.

There comes a time when, if you pay a cut price for a player, you end up with a cut-price team making cut-price performances. In my opinion, Arsenal are heading in that direction and they to be blithely unaware to stop it.

As for Saints getting to the top 4; there will have to be some serious purchases in the years to come so that end can come about. Lopez may or may not be a step along the way.

Does anyone else remember getting promoted to the Championship and thinking "hmm, not sure if Lambert can cut it here like he did in League 1, he just doesn't have the pace"? I'll admit to it, I was one of those people. Now he's the top scoring Englishman in the PL. Crazy.

Just seen Tommy Forecast has won his third consecutive promotion, playing just 25-minutes between them all <laugh>

I say, bring back Lucky Tommy and we might win more next season

I mentioned it on this thread a couple of days ago that i was considering buying one of the Samsung "Chromebook" range. Took the plunge and bought one on Thursday and I have to say it is possibly the best/most practical laptop I have ever had (I've had quite a few as I seem to have a tendency to tread on them accidentally).

What bewilders me is how he's happy to just sit and watch for his entire career. My local team, St Albans City, could use him since the legendary Paul Bastock left at the age of 40. I don't honestly think Tommy could do much better than that.
