The march was a limited success and will continue as a reference point in future examples of odious sanctions; there were reservations about it being hijacked, but it was very low profile and not as large as expected - although I understand the value in exaggerating the expected numbers. I don't really recall any significant voices against the march for those who wished to take part, only significant voices calling others scabs for attending the game. Back on topic: NK are a potless economy with mickey mouse weaponry that could be dealt with at any time; USA and SK will know what they are up to before they do! China is the puppet-master and will show public condemnation while encouraging the agitation - it's all a game of posturing, just as the South Korean public realise and why they could not care less.
Hollywood already did this war - and it was rubbish. They got their arses kicked by a bunch of kids.
Just checking on the earthquake map and there's a hell of a lot of earthquakes worldwide, this was the 22nd one today(203 so far this week).
I'm no expert on nuclear bombs, but if the epicentre is in a town in Russia, approximately 62 miles from the North Korean border, doesn't that mean the earthquake happened in Russia, not North Korea?
It didn't say the epicentre was in Russia, just stated as being reported there. It's maybe a result of the N Korean's previous underground testing.... Tune into Russia Today for latest news.....
According to the world earthquakes site, the epicentre was nine miles from Zarubino in Russia, which is 62 miles from the North Korean Border. Unless they blew something up underground and it caused an earthquake somewhere else. Though there's one almost as big that happened around the same time in Tonga and nobody's linking it with the North Korean's.
Yeah i believe their missiles can reach as far as the U.S.A, we shouldn't worry as we're just a tiny island that they can't reach. Aslong as they don't bomb Florida until after August, it's all good
Probably. There's just been another quake in Alaska, have we figured out if their missiles can get that far yet?
That is the maximum distance that NK missiles can reach Luckily, going west, their missiles can't even reach India. I don't think these are "earthquakes".
If, just if NK were mad enough to press the button then their missiles can reach Japan, Guam or South Korea, all of which would create mayhem on a scale that lacks irony or humour - the USA cannot tolerate any action of this nature that threatens their position and they are right to have that as a standard, the options are unthinkable.
All the long range weapons will be shot down before you can say 'Thermonuclear Global War'. It's the short range ones pointing at S Korea that might cause damage.
...and if the Southerly wind's not too strong, they may even fire a second one before they spot the obvious flaw in that strategy.
There have been many strategies over the ages that had fundamental flaws, it did not stop some incredibly obvious egomaniacs from attempting to fulfil their visions or for millions of innocents laying down their lives to prevent it or because of it. Sarcasm can be included with irony and humour.
