NK have advised the UK and Russia to evacuate. Nice to know we are on their good side. Missiles have been moved to the NK coast closest, Russia and Chines troops mobilising. US bringing missiles to the area. NK subs have left the area and are now untracked. Everyone is taking it seriously, its not sabre rattling.
Yep..us Aussies are pulling our people out of there to and pulling up the fences.. Have fun and let us know when its over Thanks !
Just checked, just out of range, but wind blowing in the wrong direction, danger of fall-out....that is what scares me. A few quick bombs and IT WILL ALL BE OVER...and the rest of the world will be left with the long-term damage When I was young I always thought of emigrating because I sort of assumed nuclear war would take place in Europe and Australia would be the place to hide. Looks like Denmark is the place to hide
I was just saying the same to a mate here who thinks its 'sabre rattling'. It just don't seem to be going away and old 'Mad Kim' seems to of backed himself into a corner.
Hes given a date of 10th April for them to go. Australia are evacuating 7k people from NK. didnt know you batted for the other side Queens! please log in to view this image
there are 7k Australians in North Korea???? Unbelievable, what do they all do? The Chinese will sort this out, they have the most to lose - fallout on their territory, a collapse in world trade etc etc. I'm meant to be spending 3 weeks in Japan in June. better pack my Geiger counter.....
I still think that IT IS JUST SABRE RATTLING. But I must admit, it is all very disturbing. Most experts actually don't think that NK has the ability to attach nukes to a ballistic missile so I don't think there is any chance of a long range nuclear strike. If they were to launch a conventional rocket at the US or any of their bases, I imagine that NK would be wiped off the map. Surely their nutty leader realises this?
NK need the sanctions lifted. They have to show that they mean business in order to be listened to at the top table. All posturing. No need to worry just yet.
They dont need nukes, they have a **** load of chem and bio weapons. How are NK going to be wiped off the map. They can be nuked because you nuke SK, Russia and Chine with the fall out, the US didnt have much luck invading last time round did they? The sanctions caused this, they have nothing left so what happens when you back someone into a corner with nothing left to lose? The Aussie were living in SK, not NK so my mistake. http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...g-in-south-korea/story-fncyva0b-1226612720574 Probably not the best time to mention the fukushima cooling has failed again too. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2013/apr/05/fukushima-cooling-system-fails
Mate....I realise that quite a few posters on here are rather anti-American, but I have to say that if NK actually attacked any USA base or territory, the USA would bomb them to hell!! He won't risk it surely? The sanctions aren't causing this...................the fact that The NK leader is a nut-job is what is causing this.
True, sanctions are counter productive as shown in the case of Cuba and that of Iran and harm the most vulnerable in society. Nothing will happen unless there is a coup in North Korea which might change the present balance of forces. In that case the PRC already has plans to create a buffer zone inside North Korea to protect its people and interests. As to the extent of the buffer zone it apparently coincides with the extent of Chinese industrial investment in NK, a line from Nampho to Wonsan: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=nampho map&ie=UTF-8&ei=5vReUe7DBcqQ0AX2mYHwBw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg
One way out would be be bomb NK with Abercombie T shirts, Big macs and spray them all in Coke until they all westernise is a supersized sticky mess
Completely academic as China will act first if any action is needed (probably not, as they will start sending more food in which is the real issue), but do you think the US has messy Hiroshima types nukes for everything? It won't happen but they would use conventional stuff for the most part and highly targeted relatively clean nuclear when unavoidable (eg for complexes buried in mountains). Do you really think they would compromise China, and their allies in S Korea and Japan with clouds of US fallout? Much more risk from whatever Kim has got, not much in all likelihood. I note on the news night after night the residents of Seoul, only a few miles from the border, completely chilled. And the border is still open for S Korean managers to work in the industrial zone just over the border. I lived through the Cuban missile crisis when we really were on the line, this is playground stuff...............(ok, I say 'lived through', which is technically correct, but I was 1 year old at the time, so only have hazy memories of Jack and Nikita)
The border is closed for that complex. This is about the third time we've been on the verge of ww3 in my lifetime, at least the other times were mistakes. Yeltsin and a Russian nuke sub commander stopped the other two close calls. The yanks will use NK as an excuse to bomb Iran, then the Muslim states will obliterate Israel. It could get very, very. Ugly. I just hope we stay out of it. NK are nuts but so are the yanks, NK have been involved in one war in my lifetime, the yanks have invaded about 50 countries in that time. So tell me now who are the evil ones?
World War 3 twice? Are you sure that wasn't a DVD Forget what you are being told as SB is right if people in SK are relaxed enough to joke about it ! Seems like the old BBC is having another drama moment ... Watch the essential hand movements of the presenters ... Clear sign for me .... Reptiles Imaz which overlord is doing this at the moment ?
The reptiles! Please God, not the reptiles! Overlords is such an unfortunate term unless you are talking about Shapps, Gove, Hunt, Osborne etc.
First time was the US didn't inform Russia about a satellite launch so Russian thought it was a nuke attack but Yeltsin wondered why they'd only send a single nuke, he held off retaliation until he got in contact with them which is not easy to do when you think theres a nuke on its way. Another was a Russian sub commander who stopped a nuke being fired at the yanks while they were under attack after the order had been given. Those are just two we know about, I'm sure there's been many, many more that we don't have a clue about. I'm just thankful it was the Russians that had the decision, we wouldn't be here if the yanks had the same choice with their shoot first think later policy.
