NEIL LENNON has told the SFA to get their priorities right after just two complaints prompted Vincent Lunny to act. Hampden compliance officer Lunny has reported the Celtic manager to disciplinary chiefs after footage of him swearing at St Mirren skipper Jim Goodwin went viral. please log in to view this image Sound equipment used by Sky caught Lennon calling Goodwin a âf****** f*****â during the 1-1 draw at St Mirren Park on Sunday. He now risks a lengthy touchline ban due to a three-game suspended sentence hanging over him from last season and will state his case at Hampden on April 18. Asked if Scottish football has bigger fish to fry, Lennon said: âI would like to think so. There are more problems in the game than a bit of banter between two people. âVincent feels he is obliged to make this charge and I will defend it as vigorously as I can.â ----------------------------- First of all I find it shocking that he would even use the F word. I know Celtic fans chant about Pat McCourt's F***** Army but for the Celtic manager to use it and to be caught by Sky, then brush it off as banter is totally out of line. Second of all he said that "industrial" language is heard throughout football and that people should hear what is said behind him in the dugout. So not content with himself shaming the club but he is also attacking the Celtic fans that sit behind him in the dugout. What a disgrace of a human being.
that wouldn't be "whatabootery" would it? i love how he always dismisses it as banter when he does it.
Putting Medro and Chapper's daily bumfunnery aside, this is the worst thread I think you've ever posted Medro. No wonder you kept it to the hun board.
Goodwin, who it was directed at, has given an interview also saying it's banter and nothing should come of it
hi, lennon was quoted as saying he had complained though? “Vincent feels he is obliged to make this charge and I will defend it as vigorously as I can.” it is getting out of hand, what happened to rooney again? did he get off in the end?
Suppose I'd better attempt to be as clear as possible here. Is that a proper question in bold? I don't get where you would get that from Jiffy's comment. If it is a suggestive rhetorical device referencing earlier comments, I don't see where he said that at all. A particularly awful newspaper is saying it was due to 2 fan complaints (not going to attempt to validate or rubbish that). I haven't seen Lennon quoted as blaming Goodwin anywhere. But, you're going to have to run that sentence by me again.
As far as i am aware, it was followed up after they got 2 compaints from spectators Vincent is Vincent Lunny, is it not, the compliance officer for the SFA...?
Love it ... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-manager-neil-lennon-defend-1812565 Wee extra * from Medro ...
