We've had him a couple of years now and he's only had scraps of first team opportunities here and there if a few or 11 players get injured. A couple of brilliant goals the last few weeks and performances to match. A true professional and a good experience and influence around the club. I doubt very much that he'll be signing a new contract with us and I can't really blame him for wanting to go as he want's to be playing as often as he can at 34. I can see a promoted side picking him up for the experience he'll give them. But perhaps most of all he'll be remembered by this one iconic moment, stored on the internet for many a year to come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADTUDx8-Pbg Bolo gis a dance!! Bolo, Bolo gis a dance!!
Has he been offered a contract or is it his choise to leave you?? Would of thought Bruce would try and keep him like.
He did a good job for yous, he should've got more game time. He could've made a big difference in the derby games.
He wants first team football and Bruce can't guarantee it basically. Fair enough I suppose but still a shame because he's looked class the past couple of weeks.
Not just a top player but a gent as well. I saw him looking after an elderly lady who was having problems walking in the snow a while back. A class act.
He will be missed! Brilliant player. Shame he wont stay, but Bruce cannot guarantee any player a starting place. Put a cheeky bid in for lampard now that chelsea will be finishing outside the top 4 next season???? <not being serious smiley>
I wasnt afan of him, thought he was too slow too come on so he could only really start a game which i didnt really want as it slowed down our midfield. However hes done the job last few games and it will be ashame too see him go.
yeah but he couldnt get back quick enough, WBA at home ws the prime example. All the second half goals came from areas he should have ben marking and he lost the ball for one of them trying too run with it
literally as bruce has told it, we offered him terms, part of squad rotation, couldnt guarantee would be first choice, bolo had no choice but to leave but he leaves with our best wishes
It's not about having a guaranteed place. It's to do with a manager who fails to utilise the most experienced player on the books to best effect. I don't blame Bolo for wanting to leave but Bruce has created the circumstances whereby it looks as if it's Zenden's best option. I really like the player and wish he was staying. It's a mistake on Bruce's part that he under used him especially when there were so many injuries.
