It's hard to feel sorry for them tbh, oh how they laughed just a few years ago when another East Anglian team were well and truly down on their luck. What goes round, comes round.

wow, what a healthy position Evans has lead them into. all they have to do is unearth a Ronaldo and Messi and they can clear their debt.

You don't need a balance sheet to realise they are ****ed. Their house is built on a sinkhole financially.

One change in circumstances and they are sunk. Permanent.

My god; how can they possibly recover from that amount of debt, if they were to go down, surely administration is not far away. I don't actually find their situation funny, as growing up with rivalry helped to instil passion for NCFC, and would hate to lose them

I can't see how that sort of debt can be paid off even if they stay where they are now, it's a shocking figure for a Championship side - hell I would be worried as hell if we have that debt and in the PL!

McNally insinuated a possible preseason game with Ipswich in a recent tweet. That might raise a few quid for em and we'll fill their ground for them if they want.

Agreed, I was just thinking if they were to be relegated that would be the end of them

If, for whatever reason, Marcus Evans decided enough was enough - and who could really blame him if he did, and chose to recall his investments in the club, they'd be in a roight ol' muddle, Neyull.!

Like QPR it all depends on the patience of the owner. If Evans is happy to swallow the debts year on year it's not a problem although a business model where you have declining revenue streams and practically no marketable assets has to be a concern. If the squad becomes riddled with loan rangers then the profits from player sales will dry up and this appears to be Town's main source of loss-reduction in recent seasons.

I don't think that we ever had this level of debt but I know how bleak things were for us pre-Lambert and am hugley gratified that by a measure of shrewd management from the board down and to be honest a bit of good fortune along the way we have gone from there to where we are today and I never ever want to see us sail that close to the wind again.

Much as I enjoy the banter at work about them going bust with the followers of the dark side I certainly would rather see Ipswich up with us (as long as we got our traditional six points and finished above them) than have them disintegrate if Evans pulled the plug although this may put me in the minority position on this particular board!

And these are debts up till June 2012, I guess there will be further debts in the present year, so come June 2013 maybe they'll top the £100m mark

If I supported them I would be asking why the hell this was allowed to happen bearing in mind that they only came out of administration not that long ago (10 years or so was it?). For this to happen again so quickly is pretty unforgivable, regardless of what team it is - if Leicester keep failing in their bid for promotion they could be another side with 2 "admins" against their name in a relatively short period.

<laugh> They could do a lot worse than use NCFC as a role model <ok>

    Anyone remember this in 2007 "We're f***ing loaded"? <laugh>

A pity preseason friendly, would love that.

A slap in the face, we aren't going to play you in the league anytime soon, let's set up a friendly so you can finally fill your stadium haha.

    Wolfswinkel hattrick?

But seriously, I agree with Longsight, I would hate to lose Ipswich. I sort of wanted them to get promoted this year so we could have a derby in the Prem. Adminstration can't be far off though surely?

What puzzles me is where's the case for the defence?
Where's Warky, Hampy, KOPRoad and/or guru when you expect to hear from them?

Sometimes it is best to say nothing and give a dignified silence rather than try to defend an unsustainable position. What can they say? Same as us in 2008 - "we're f*cked, please try not to laugh too much"

Get some Celtic style chants going. "We're all having a party, all having a party, all having a paaaarty! The binners are going bust!"
