That's a good thing, playing away after international break sucks.

I dunno, I was thinking it would be better to keep the momentum going. Us winning and the Spuds losing, don't want to give them a breather to gather themselves.

True. We have Reading so we SHOULD be able to win, but no going easy on them.

The international break has come at a bad time, just when we were starting to build momentum and they are starting to lose the plot. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off in two weeks time.

On the plus side, by the time the international break is over we can hopefully have Jack back in the team. Although the defence has done well in the last two games, we have missed Wilshere's influence. A solid defence + Wilshere and Cazorla pulling the strings in middle = Wins.

I would definitely keep Kos and Jenks in the back four. They have earned their place in there.

<laugh> at HIAG's imminent meltdown on the 'Arsenal don't appear to be laughing at us' thread on the spuds board.

St Totteringham's day needs to be replaced with the "annual Spuds bottle-job".

St Totteringham's day is still on for this season. It may be delayed but it's on. As always.

So if Spurs do finish below us again and the spuds blame it on losing Gareth Bale, does that mean that their 'one man team' jibe about RVP and telling us how we'd be ****ed if he got injured mean that they we're being complete hypocrites ?

Nope....you were carried by rvp last season....like bale has carried us...like shearer used to carry the toon and michu carries swansea and ronaldo carried united...if we go to **** without bale then its kind of proved as a point...rvp wasn't jibe wasn't proved as he remained fit.

Personally id prefer to call gooners hypocritical **** bags cos of.....gallas ... You ****ers must have loved his display tonight <laugh>

Oh, was Gallas bad! I missed the live showing, but may now catch it on late night. Thanks for the heads up!

Not sure I would call us wanting Gallas to fail hypocritical though, I mean the standard for fans is to dislike their ex-players, with just a few exceptions, and Gallas hardly covered himself with glory while he was with us.

Sorry to hear about Bale though. As I said elsewhere, being able to beat you guys to the finish line without you having an excuse is much more fun. All this does is give you a chance to make us look silly. Let's hope you don't take it.

van Persie's form dropped towards the end of the season. If you take out the Norwich game (2 goals) from last 10 games of last season, he only scored 2 more in the remaining 9 games.
We won games without him at his best.

Bale is a different level for you guys, have you even won a single game in 2013 when Bale hasn't scored?

Weird one. I actually wanted Spurs to go through against Basle, two extra games in the Europa League, would have meant more games for them to contend with. But after this result, and all the injuries they picked up against Basle, I can't see them making the last four now.

Sure, their main star is injured, but we've had to deal with injuries too, we missed Wilshere at the start of the seaso, and have missed him now for 3 games, and comes to 4 on Saturday.

We went into a season with one of the most injury prone midfielders in Europe, and he got injured twice, once in September, out until the new year, and now injured again, for 9 months! Mind you, we went into the season with this player after we sold Song and brought no replacement, talk about handicapping yourself.

Arsenal: established top manager,60,000 seater stadium, twice the turnover, twice the wage bill and we have not had a full first choice squad all season. Kaboul, Dembele, Dawson, Parker, Defoe, Adebayor, Lennon, BAE, Sandro, all out for long periods, we lost our two best playmakers Modric & VDV and we have a new manager finding his feet. You should be out of sight never mind 4 points behind. We don't need any excuses we have already overachieved, and your excuse is?
