Mouser Watch #2

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, May 26, 2012.

  1. The reason that this thread is so popular with so many (from different clubs) is because it cannot be censored by the 'Pool mods, hence debate is open, free-ranging, honest, cutting, and a (generally) fair.

The 'Pool (and Gooner) mods do not use their "power to ban" to punish abusive posters, rather they wield it like a weapon to stifle good, honest, witty criticism. That is a sign of immense emotional and intellectual immaturity. It's a shame, but there's nothing I can do about that.

    Don't forget Bread.

Although there wasn't a Scouser in sight in any of them!

    Nerys Hughes was too pretty.

  4. That was a fly-on-the-wall socio documentary about dole scroungers.

The Boswell Family became a National disgrace, and Thatcher's government closed a few of the loop-holes (such as wrangling it so that your scrounging grandad could live next door to you on tax-payer hand-outs).

I much prefer Harry Enfield's portrayal of Mouser life. Hilariously funny, and probably the most accurate, too.

I think you'd be mad to say Liverpool are better than Spurs right now - the job you've done is incredible. Lazarus style.

However, we have the infrastructure of a top team, the reputation and the ambition... As well as some of the required quality. We'll get back there some day.

Kenny put us back a few years when he blew the money.

Yes, you had a real "win double" there. Kenny boy & Comolli!..those two must be close to the ultimate managerial nightmare.

  9. Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Notts Forest, to name but a few..... Glorious company indeed!! Know what you are saying, but hope for your sakes you have more to rely on than just the three you mention.

Judging by his ever-growing stature in the game despite no logical reason for this happening, Dave Richards must have a portrait of Sheffield Wednesday in his attic...

You forgot Spurs there. I hear Spurs used to win a few trophies back in the 60s?

  12. We won plenty in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, too, but you don't hear us crowing about it.

What separates us from the other clubs mentioned is that we are profitable, and run along the lines of a good and sound business-model. We're not in the habit of allowing cheapskate Yanks acquire us at "brown paper envelop under the door" prices.

You won 9 trophies in the 70's ,80's and 90's and one of them was an Anglo Italian cup (whatever the **** that is) and you consider that plenty? <laugh> Pathetic.

Surprise, surprise (excuse the Cilla Black pun) a Mouser banging on about trophies...... I wonder if Cheaterpool had a history akin to Sunderland`s there would be so many Mousers around to remind us..... I doubt it.

Just watched your game with Basel, and I think you are in big trouble now. Bale and Lennon look like they're going to be out for a while which is seriously going to affect you. Good job you have Dempsey and Siggurdson to score you're goals for you. Sorry, I forgot 1 in every 9 games Adebayor.:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Disappointing that Bale will be out for the Everton game.
