I understand why they do it I just think it's **** and annoying , it makes me less likely to want to buy anything from that sponsor in fact

Whats the problem ? If the game is crap then at least you have something else to look at other than the programme. As for the time i use the stopwatch on my mobile.
We travel to every home game from Newark so by time we get there it's the best option of actually getting parked and in the ground. We don't have time to drive around looking for on street parking. I've always wondered what the park and ride is like?!
I always use the park and ride. Far easier and, although there is a queue to get out of the car park after the game it's nowhere near as bad as Walton Street
So how long would you say it takes to get from the KC to the P&R and out the carpark on a Saturday afternoon?
We travel a bit further from Leicester, park on street every game. 10 minute walk down Anlaby road and there's plenty of places to park, midweek games are even easier, can get lucky and get one of those lay-by's which are max 2 hour stay until 6pm right near the stadium. You're bloody insane going to that fecking car park every time, we used it about 3 times, ****ing ridiculous.
I've never had this problem before but noticed it on Tuesday night definitely. Every time I checked how long was left it was a bloody advert. They have been installed in case you were wondering. But at the moment they're just advertising the space to advertise.
I find my enjoyment is negatively impacted by people wielding bulky flasks who attend games like it's cricket rather than football, i.e. sitting mute with an 'entertain me' mindset.
I've been meaning to ask this for a while: what specifically is the deal about flasks? Is it OK if you drink a hot beverage purchased from the concourse? But if you take a flask you're a poor fan? I don't get it. Personally I don't drink hot drinks at all but my dad usually takes a flask for half time and I just don't get the problem. Why is this associated with quiet, negative supporters?

Funnily enough, every cricket match i've been to has had a better atmosphere than the KC, and you can drink in the ground.
Define 'better'. When I see it on telly, cricket seems infested with the same tipsy fancy-dress 'wacky' student arseholes as football. They ruin the atmosphere of both sports in opposite ways. Richie Benaud clearly had contempt for them- and quite right too.
Better= drinking all day in the ground, decent atmosphere, knowledgable people enjoying the game (you will get some who haven't been before, but i suppose everyone has to start somewhere). I'm not into any of what you said, but you do get them sorts. And if i remember rightly, i saw Guzzler at the last Scarborough Cricket Festival. For one, the Barmy Army ****s on the Wednesday Kop band, who follow the England International football Team around. They know more songs than the Great Escape and Dambusters, and the chants are actually witty and well put together.
Chanting has no place at cricket, nor fancy dress nor music. Fancy dress has no place at football.. We invented football fan culture in these islands, ffs, why must we imitate foreign fans especially in such a lame 'me too' sort of way? If you think cricket needs livening up, I suspect it's not the game for you.
I didn't say anything about fancy dress. I said you get them sorts, but i don't consider it improtant, or anything that adds to the game. Chanting happens at all sports, whether you like it or not. You're always going to get banter at an event where there's a mixture of fans of different teams, especially where the two sets consider themsleves rivals like Yorkshire v Lancashire or England v Australia. Even in cricket it intimidates the opposition. Unless you're at Lords, where you'd probably fit in with the MCC types. Plus, i go to the cricket because i enjoy the game.
If you check some of the Barmy Army's videos out on youtube you will see what better is. Ok alot of their stuff wouldn't work as well at football but they still create an atmosphere. A couple of years ago I went with a friend to see FC United and was amazed at the atmosphere there. Only a few thousand fans But they made more noise than I've heard at the KC in along time. again, More videos on Youtube. I think the ground is in desperate need of some sort of singing section, because quite frankly for a team 1 place away from the PL the atmosphere around our ground is a joke.
