hows he going on with his troubles guys? Wonderful player probably the best english player i have ever seen in my lifetime . Such a shame maybe someone needs to give a role at newcastle in some capacity even if its just helping the local kids in some capacity. ps good luck for the rest of the season guys good club better fans.

 

We often see Videos of old games on the coach to the away games, Gazza features on a lot of them. A brilliant natural footballer who just tended to fall into the wrong hands and was easily led astray.

The last I heard of him, he was in some rehab Clinic in the States.

Gascoigne was placed in intensive care in a US hospital while being treated for alcoholism in Arizona in a rehabilitation programme.[83] He had suffered a very bad alcohol withdrawal syndrome during detox; he had to be tied to his bed, and a doctor said that it was "the worst detox that he had seen". He was revived three times after his heart had stopped, and he had needed several injections to keep his heart and lungs working, and also librium (a sedative).[

Fell in with the wrong sort, people who tried to live on Gazza's fame and of course his cash which he was very generous with. 5 Bellies being the biggest culprit. A guy who's only claim to fame was knowing Gazza.

I really do wonder whether people like him are predestined to have such a manic life or if it's been environmental factors that have affected him...You only have to look at the influence Sir Alex has had on other player's lives and ask, what if?

 

Maybe even Sir Alex couldn't have handled Gazza.
