Look at Asia at the moment. You have Vietnam claiming that China have been shooting missiles in their direction, China claiming the sea area off of Malaysia where they just happen to have oil wells, and then you have the Korean Peninsula. Who will stick their ugly mug up next Putin?

Well the impression that the average joe in the street of South Korea has is one of "" we have heard all this before"" looking at last nights news 24 channel.

I do agree though that NK leader Kim Jong-un and his gang need to be removed sooner rather than later just in case.

Aren't North Korea a military state? I don't think a war would be high on anyone's agenda, so long as China backed out they'd get flattened yes, but there would most likely be damage taken. No one knows alot about North Korea or the weaponry and technology they have, it's like a game of poker, maybe it's a bluff or we could wake up tomorrow to find out New York is flatter than Holland. Is it worth taking the gamble?

Also nuclear weapons would not be used against them under any circumstances I wouldn't think.

The March was always going to be pointless. Hence why I defended a lot of Hull City fans on Facebook who were being labelled as 'let-downs' or 'scabs' because they attended the match. The March was just going to be a failed publicity stunt that changed nothing.

    Where's DMD anyway?

The march was far from pointless, it highlighted the stupidity of West Yorks Plod and cost them more than letting everyone attend would have done, for that reason alone they're unlikely to do it again, at least not with us. Which was rather the point.

My brother-in-law went on the March, and in a way you could say it was a minor success but in the whole scale of things, it's going to be classed as insignificant. It was intended to help prevent it happening to fans throughout football but it's probably only going to prevent it happening to us again. That's the only reason I'd class it as pointless.

The motive and action was fully justified.

    Brilliant.

I'll try and think of one:

There's only one, Kim Jong Un, one Kim Jong Un, laughin' along, sending a bomb, walking in a Nuclear Wasteland.

    Hmm?

I really hate the way my government is always up in people's business but I think these clowns in N. Korea are worth getting rid of so their citizens can eat and be free from oppressive slavery.

    Harrow.

At the moment, China is the most important player in all of this. Even the Americans aren't stupid enough to take military action in that area without some form of reluctant tolerance from the Chinese (they're never going to be in favour of it, obviously). And even a regime as isolationist as the one in Pyongyang knows that China is an important and powerful ally, which they can only push so far.

But if the North were to launch an attack on the mainland of another country, China would suddenly be in a position of little influence, as war would be inevitable. The point at which you have missiles being fired at Seoul or Guam is the point at which China's choices are World War III, neutrality, or siding with the Americans knowing full well that the outcome will be a land border with an expanded, pro-Western country.

North Korea is fascinating due to their secrecy, aggression and absurdity. Much like Scientology (I enjoy reading about both).

I really don't think this is a fight that NK should be picking.

    It seems rather foolish.

Their leader is new and young, so no doubt he wants to show he is heroic to his people. Historically, they have not responded well to being told to behave, so that trend continues, and since foreign aid was slashed and sanctions made because of their nuclear program, they have become more erratic.

Will they push it so far that they can't then back away?

You get the sense that the US and South Korea are no longer prepared to mess about, and China as well for that matter, always having to babysit a rogue nation that won't even obey them anymore.

It's a bit like an irritating child in a playground, constantly prodding the bigger boys trying to get their attention by calling them names, and then stopping just as he's about to get slapped hard. Brinkmanship, I suppose.

Thing is, I don't think they should try to call America's bluff anymore. Patience has eroded and it doesn't look to me like they're prepared to humour them any longer.

One firm slap could be all it takes, or it could just be the start.

    Diplomatic times ahead..

Fact is NK in reality don't have the capacity t blow up a baloon. America can deal with any military threat within hours, all this is is the Military Industrial complex building it up to try and precure more money from national budgets which are squeezed due to recession. Look at the tosser Cameron coming out today with Trident bullshit.....we are all being manipulated and Kim Jong Ung is playing the bad guy and will be rewarded with more aid before the summer....relax it's sunny.....and only one sun<party>
