I think the Red Bulls were supposed to be fuel saving too as with most other cars. I cant recall who but driver was though told over the radio fuel is no issue and push. Still for china I think the mercedes will be strong. They really hit a sweet spot here last year with a car that was a lot worse. Hamilton has a great record here so I went for him though if Rosberg finds himself ahead will Mercedes remember 'not to Forget' malaysia? of course if Alonso and Raikkonen have the luck this time roun then they look good for the win too.
Here is an exclusive picture of Fernando Alonso in Malaysia when he realises he has no wheels on the ground. You can also see Vettel/Webber on the far inside... [NSFW] please log in to view this image [/NSFW]
Yes, and that's why I've chosen Massa to win. If Massa is the lead car on the track, Alonso won't get the undercut. He'll either have to pass him on track (Japan 2011) or try something different with strategy (Korea 2011, Australia 2013). I'm not sure Alonso will be able to do either. Also I think Ferrari will have the best car. They had the best race pace pace in Australia (confirmed by Domenicali) and in the second half of Malaysia Massa was just as fast as Red Bull and Mercedes, if not quicker. They also have strong tyre management and I'd be very surprised if they weren't fighting for at least the podium.
I think overtaking will be easy in DRS zone this week, even if Massa outqualifies Alonso I'd expect Alonso to have better race pace and tyre management.
I'm pretty busy at the moment and next week so times flying at the moment for me Should be free in time for fp1 next week so win win
Double edged sword.. don't want to be busy at work but want something to do to fill the time! Looks like I'm gonna have to dust down the copy of F1 2010
Not seen anything released other than to confirm there will be 2 zones... although the official formula1 site says otherwise lol.
Not sure, know its the Back and Pit Straight. Maybe with the two DRS zones they'll keep the DRS zone length similar to last year on the back straight?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/22043889 Delusional or have McLaren cracked the MP4-28 nut? (I'm hoping for the latter!)
They had a good race in Malaysia up until the dodgy pit stop but Alonso retired and the 2 Lotus' had on and off pace. Massa too had an inconsistent race and the Red Bulls and Mercedes' were saving fuel for the latter part of the race. I suspect Mclaren will bring upgrades to China but as will the other front runners, so it could still be a bit of a struggle for them.
Could we see a team use the DRD? Surely this could be the track to use it or try it in free practice.
