I'm not sure how much memory space there is, but could there be a rolling monthly sticky for questions with the responses and minutes appended after each meeting to an announcement? Another option would be to have a word with Nash on Ci or the lads on Amber Nectar to see if there's scope for a single point for all minutes, but with questions raised/discussed on each board individually. That could save three reps asking the same or similar questions but only minuting their specific responses too.
DMD, how about a sub forum for it? Would keep it tidier too, be easier to manage, and could get ISTPLT and OLM as Moderators of it to manage it. Can sticky a monthly Q&A thread where fans can post questions, only allow moderators to create new threads (which would be minutes from previous meetings). Be lovely that, just a Q&A thread that was archived/deleted/closed and previous minutes!
That would be ideal, unfortunately the site owner is against sub-forums for some reason. There's a few clubs looking for one. i think that there are some boards on here that do have a protected forum for various reasons. I'll look into it a bit more after the game. I wonder if we could blag one of the unused boards?
I don't really like the idea to be honest. It just means there's one more place to check for new posts. If it's all on this forum it's just easier for everyone.
Can you not swap seats so that the two tickets are together? 10% of the sections concerned rather than the whole stand. When the KC first opened there was unreserved seating (the 2 or 3 blocks at Southern end of East Stand at minimum because I was in there). Either way though the reduction is only an issue if we get promoted, so although it's tempting fate a bit it should be discussed as a plan for what to do if we're in the Championship. I'll be the club's rep on the SAG. The condition is that the meetings have to be held on the Saturday morning before another home match is to be played. If they think that's a ridiculous idea because it makes their lives inconvenient then they should have irony explained to them. How often are the meetings? I'd suggest a week or so before a meeting a new thread is made. The opening post includes any ongoing issues that are being dealt with, so say they're looking into the unreserved seating but we haven't had a response yet it's included so we don't get people asking about it again, and invites other questions. After the meeting the minutes are put on and the thread stickied for say 4 days, or until we've had a weekend game (which ever is longer) to ensure people see the outcomes. As you've mentioned archiving. We could actually create a locked archive thread linking to all the old Q&A threads (locked once they were finished with), so all the newest thread would have to do is link to the archive thread and people could go looking right the way back. Maybe just have the most up to date Q&A thread stickied all the time? All just ideas.
I like those ideas Ricardo. Key thing is, going forward, this has excellent potential from our (fans) point of view, the club are making a massive effort, we have some quality people representing us at it so we just need to make sure we have a single source we can go to for info/feedback etc. I'm sure the CI/AN etc lot wouldn't mind 1 area that consolidates it all in one place too whilst still discussing issues on their own sites.
Totally agree. I think it's important that we're aware of questions raised on other forums so we can gauge opinion and try to avoid several people asking the same question. This is a superb initiative and opportunity for fans that should ultimately benefit the club.
I'd want there to be some kind of thread always there just so that if someone comes up with a question or point to raise they don't have to wait until the week before the next meeting to raise it. If it's always there there's always the option to contribute.
I'm sure rather than it just being one place it was kept, what would happen is that the first site to put up consolidated minutes would find their version got copied to the other sites (a bit like the club statement on Huddersfield immediately got copied onto all the other sites from the OWS). This would be easier for people as it would keep everything on sites they already use, and it would mean that when one site was having tech problems the minutes would be available to them still (CI randomly seems to have them, this site blocks guests on transfer deadline day, I'm sure AN must have something every once in a while). It would effectively be a single source, but mirrored in several places to improve the penetration. If you're wanting a more generic source, I'd suggest it would be a good idea for the club to have a page in the fans section of the OWS that had a record of all the meetings. I don't think there'd be any objection to it even if they just put a page up saying what the group was, who was in it, and then put a link to one of the archive pages either on here, or CI, or AN, or where ever. They'd have to explain the archive wasn't prepared by the club and they had no responsibility for the content of the site, but it would mean that they didn't have to actually commit any staff time to it once the page was made. (as it will be different staff Ok, so a Q&A sticky can be there all the time. When a meeting takes place it will be locked and the thread unstickied, and a new thread started using the minutes from the meeting. The new thread will also have a link to the archive thread, and that will let people see all the old minutes and Q&As.
The problem previously was that the minutes on each site differed as the reps wrote them to their specific issues and would omit bits others could find relevant.
I'm setting it up now, I'm happy managing the archive thread (I'll add a bit more detail to the description of the meeting in due course), but the Q&A threads should really be made by the reps on the FLAG. Looking at my idea above, I think actually the minutes are best being posted in full as the last post on the old thread when it's locked (copy and paste, not just the link in case the source page is removed at some point), and then a link to that post being put in the new thread rather than copying the entire minutes into the new thread again.
I've copied in the summary to OLM's OP, just in case the link becomes a dead one at some point in the future. So I think after the next meeting this thread gets the minutes added to it then locked, and a new thread gets started with a link to the last post on this thread and one to the archive. I'll take care of the archiving, this thread is already in it, and I can edit your OP to add the archive thread if I need to. Since we've cluttered this with talk about how to manage it, so far we have: Co-ordination of minutes so that there's an all inclusive set of them that can be made available to who ever wants them, with expected timescales for issues to be addressed if possible. Preferably this would be through the OWS and the various fan sites. Obviously we're going to have our own record of everything we've done and the overall minutes so other sites will be welcome to use it, bearing in mind that on key dates (transfer deadline days, fixture release days etc) this site restricts access to guests to reduce the server issues. I've got a feeling season ticket holders can move their seat to be with their friends when it's those deals, but it might need checking, and if it can it might need to be included in news stories when we have these offers as it's clearly not getting through to everybody. There's obviously the 10% issue that we couldn't stand in the Premierleague, but if we were to be Championship it could easily be accommodated. There was even a big stadium announced recently that they've got an app you can download to do just. We'd have to overcome the 3G issue in the ground to do the same.
The Saturday when we're playing Cardiff at lunchtime? So, a morning meeting or one that will be cancelled due to champagne popping?
It's a British stadium I was thinking of that's announced it in the last few weeks, but this is the system: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...aving-their-seat/story-e6frg6n6-1226498877825
For some reason, if you are a woman you have to be 65 to get a senior ticket and be classed as an OAP. Surely it should be 60, as that's when you claim your state pension when you are a woman.
