    precisely DL.

    I think some people still carry a bitter taste from his 'goal' in the drubbing last may :)

    RVP has done nothing since the start of the year. Suarez, Mata and Bale have all carried their form right through to present day. Not denying his brilliance but I don't think someone should get PFA if they've only done it for the first half.

    Where do you get that from? 30 assists???

    Anyhow as it's clearly including games outside of the Premier League(or maybe it's all domestic football) that's not what players are being asked to vote on, something that all the rival fans said when Bale last won it as they felt the players were including his CL performances.

    Are you sure? Of Suarez's 22 league goals, 9 came against Norwich and Wigan. I'm not saying discount them completely but there's a reason Van Persie's goals have amounted to many more points than anyother player in the league and that's because he scores goals, lots of goals and regardless of how well the rest of the team is playing. It's no coincidence that Liverpool had such a poor record against top half sides and Suarez hadn't scored many against them, even if you consider it's because Suarez can't score when the team struggles... well RVP can and that's why if it wasn't for his dip in form he'd have run away with the POTY awards.

    It's not his fault he didn't score, it's the ref's fault for giving it regardless, there's no anger or blame to Mata for that :)

  9. I'm not Welsh. I don't even like leeks.

    I'm as English as St George. Cut me in half and you'll find "curry and chips" running through the centre of me; that's how English I am.

    So close too call, all of them deserve it tbh. RVP has seemed to turn into Torres lately though and has been dogshit since January so i'd probably go

    1. Mata
    2. Bale
    3. Suarez
    4. RVP

    It's tight though. Mata has been the best and most consistent though, his goal and assist rate is astonishing this season and lord knows how many more assists he'd have if we had Ba for the whole season or another half decent striker. Says it all that without Mata starting we've only won once out of 10.

    Bales been very good also, but i'm still not convinced, he still goes missing in a lot of games and even though he does star and play like one of the best players on the planet at times it does also harm Spurs because if you shut Bale out you've shut them out, and if he got injured he'd be ****ed. Mata has carried us this season but his best work is bringing other players into the games e.g. hazard and oscar always play better when his around, whereas Spurs as a team play worse with Bale on-song as he takes everything

    The one other thing i'd say is that even when Matas bad he still manages to get a goal or assist or do something productive, yesterday as the most recent example. He was having a poor game by his standards yet still picked out a beautiful ball to set up ba's amazing goal. Whereas when RVP/Bale/Suarez are having an off-day they're very quiet and don't do anything

    Bale for me, can't see how anyone could be selected above him. He is absolute class and has been great all season, thanks in large volumes to AVB who knows how to get his team to play to his strengths.
    Mata would be a shoe in with a decent manager and better service, instead he's had to play 7 matches ( I think ) with Lampard/ Mikel in mid, and a tactical half wit in charge.
    RVP started well and faded, unlike Man U who went the other way, and the other nasty little twat has had his moments, but not enough, in my opinion.

    It was one of the most elegant goals I've seen. You could feel the ground shaking as the back of the net completely rippled :)

    Actually I was looking at one of those red top team seclector games that list all the PL players and award points for various things players have achieved and Suarez has 263 points so far, Mata 261 and Bale is back on 223! RVP is further behind! So officially it looks like a close run thing between Mata and Suarez!

    Direct involvement in % of team goals this season

    Bale = 43%
    Mata = 35.5%
    Suarez = 45.76%
    RVP = 38.57%

    Points without goals of respective players

    Mata -9
    Suarez -9
    RVP - 20
    Bale - 19

    Scary stuff.
