Regardless of the discussion about Bruce and his future at SAFC, lets just take some time out to take the absolute ****ing piss out of the filth. What a bloody brilliant laugh we've all had in the boozer today. Well the last 5 mins we did anyway. The pub Chester's (in Chester le street) went totally nuts with the last min equaliser from the Scum game. Firstly, great result for the lads. A game when W Ham to be fair we non existent, we blew them away and it was an easy victory but professional all the same. The players did their bit and scored 3 goals to win the game. The only disappointment is the realisation that a couple of more wins in the last few games, against a shambolic Wolves and an ordinary WBA, would have seen us 8th and make the season a real success. However, despite my current reservations about Bruce's ability to take us forward, I give him full respect and praise for engineering a top 10 place against all odds, when on all honesty, I just didn't see it happening. Like I have said time and time again, no one will be more happy than me if SB shows me up to be a total twat, as this will mean SAFC are successful. That suits me fine let me tell you. We shall see what happens in the next few weeks but tonight is for taking the piss. I cant wait for work tomorrow and all the smug ****ers who taunted me on Friday night about who were top dogs. We lost 10 out of 11 games and still we are the top club. **** the black and white pigs good and proper. Well done everyone. Make me eat my words Bruce and recruit the players that we all want and turn this negative period around and make me proud again. No one will be more happy to eat them. FTM you shadow dwelling ****ers on Doonside. 3 years the bestb club in the NE and no sign of it ending soon if you couldnt do it this season.
Tell you what mate, when all's said and done 10th is a canny season, we know it's not a ****ing rose garden, but it's ok. I don't give a **** about the 'newly promoted' bollocks, we targeted top 10 and above them, we achieved it, despite an injury roll call the likes of which haven't been seen seen since WWII. We have Sessegnon and Gyan, 2 players around which the team must be moulded. And, the bes thing about it 'the we don't care about finishing above you' yarns dispelled by a banner unfurled after 37 mins which would become an icon for our season of gross failure that actually turned out ok in the end. Onwards, upwards, we are Sunderland.
I'm so happy for you cest. Seems now you won't kill yourself... 1 point behind and a 5-1 win? That'll do me nicely!
I still have huge reservations mate but fair play to the club and manager. It makes a mockery of the displays against Fulham and Wolves and makes me think that the injury excuses are a red herring. We under performed hugely this season and it has not been good enough but we are still the best club in the NE despite our utter failures on the field. Better things are expected next season. Bruce take note but in the meantime, enjoy your moment of rest bite. August will be here very soon.
Look at it on terms of seasons results lads, you lost bent and collapsed, we lost Carroll and **** all happened. We plodded along without any crisis and just did what we did.
I think he'll know he has to get the signings right now mate, round pegs, round holes, balance. I think he's progressed us, i have doubts about whether he can take us on, but i do believe he deserves this window, get the squad he's happy with, then no excuses from there. That's for another day though
I'm please dthat the 2nd biggest club in the NE has something to cling onto. Me? 38 games tells the real tale and we are better despite losing 10 out of 11 games at the end. I mean, how ****e are you that you couldnt finish higher given that scenario? Muppets. Shadow dwelling is your place on the social ladder. Get used to it chump.
Ameobi and ****ing Lovenkrands...if you don't finish above us with that strikeforce then god help you. Listen, we are both as **** as eachother. Had we held on to that game, you would all be down in the dumps wanting Bruce out. Its a funny old game. Yewrope will not happen next year though
All you lot have to say is 'we're happy, we had a great season'. Pretending it didn't hurt you to blow a 3 goal lead to finish below us kids nobody. Tell me honestly when it went 3-3, knowing we were home and hosed, you didn't think '****'. Note the word 'honestly'. Tell you what, when you went 3 up, i went in a right ****ing strop and thought 'bastards, this is gonna hurt...'
Didn't Kevin Nolan come out and say the aim was to finish ahead of us? Now run along back to your bottom half board...
shadow dwellers always sound so hollow and bitter. We have been total cak for 4 months and yet STILL you cant finish above us. Alann Partridge has been ****witting on all week about finishing above your bigger established NE neighbours and you didnt. SAFC = top cats AGAIN. Lol
I was more annoyed with my team, and since West Brom sold out I was right next to the ****ers so had to deal with that. It then crossed my mind and it was irritating as we were so close. But looking at the bigger picture I was rather happy(many weren't, you saw my article before about people leaving, yes?) We didn't lose to you, which was a target, but we finished 5 places above where I would have loved to have finished. Really can't complain, had a fantastic season.
Oh, so Steve Bruce never said anything? You must note that we were a considerable amount behind you at the time, we did well to catch up.
You've had a great season, credit where due. Facts are, it's not just finishing above you, it's compensation for the 5-1, and nothing can change that. If you'd had both we'd have nowt, you don't have both. Lost battle, won war, Marbella in 2 weeks, all's well that ends well! ** That new kit of yours is ****ing awful, by the way!
Here man, you lot talk yourselves up to be world beaters in pre season. You are ****e, and we are no better. Gutted to blow a 3 goal lead but Sunderland didn't enter my head. You lot have been in our shadow for so long that getting obe over on us is an obsession for you lot, it's something we have grew up used to so don't get over exited about. And when I say a season aim, I'm not on about Nolan or the club, I'm on about the expectation of the supporters. You lot are fickle as ****, last week it was Bruce out now he deserves the window to prove himself......have a day off man.
That's the nature of football, and to call our fans fickle coming from your club is ****ing hilarious. Get over it mate, i'm delighted we finished above you, and nowt you say will change the fact that we did.
I have huge reservations about Bruce but whatever I think of him, he's more than good enough to put out a team to finish better than you ****ers. Come in 'Double' agent Bruce Ha Ha
Its not much compensation, had someone offered a 5-1 win and 1-1 away draw but finish 1 point below, ****ing definitely. I'm off to Portugal on Thursday so all is well for me also. I hear you are moving though? **The kit has grown on me, I had to stare at it for quite a while though. You finished above us, credit where its due We both should have done better to be fair but that's football. I am happy, this summer is going to be fun. Ohio for a pre-season friendly on the cards after another Holiday in Corfu! Who needs football?
