Congrats on your solid season back

I just wanted to say well done for having such a good first season back, and one that I'm sure you'll build on next season with your signings over the summer. I wish we had as much spirit as you seem to have.

Last summer one of you said that you'd finish about 11th, which I thought was way too high, but you've proved me wrong, and proved it was a great prediction.

Anyway, here's to us fighting each other for a Euro or CL place next season

17th would have done for most of us this season and few realistically thought that 11th or 12th was on the cards, but we are justifiably proud of how well we have done this season.

Realistically I thought we were good enough to finish between 14 th and 17th looking at what was in the league before the season started so I'm pleased enough with where we have finished. Been a great season and we have dished out a few hidings on the way.

 

Finishing top ten has been the ambition for 3 seasons so I'd have taken it before the season started, and it feels v good now, but obviously it's a case of what might have been if Bruce had bought a striker to replace Bent. Looking at the table, 7th might have been attainable for us without the usual slump. Next season the aim will be to equal or beat the PR era.

bit like us didn't expect great things but at one stage we both looked like finishing 7th/8th was a possibility

next season I'd say build on this season and a top ten finish,would be be happy with 9th.

I guess with the quality of what you kept hold of last season then you were always going to a decent this year. What's missing from your squad & what places are you looking to strengthen? Also, any targets?

 

Very happy with our season although like you we could and perhaps should have finished a bit higher. Next season I would like us to finish in the top ten and make a decent challenge in one of the cup competitions.

 

personally i'd say RB/CB/LBcover/RW and 2 FWDS if jose goes then a new LB as well

 

That's sounds quite modest to me. (Apart from the cup run which is all about team spirit & luck).
