Spanish Press reporting Mourinho was in London to tie up Bale deal

Discussion in 'Chelsea' started by District Line, Mar 31, 2013.

  1. The things I have been "wrong" about have been where we will finish in the EPL. That's hardly the crime of the century, is it? Again, that is more the failure of an expression of "hope" than a failure in "prediction." I "predicted" that we'd finish above the Gooners last season, but had to content myself in finishing above you guys.

What is absolutely the case is that Spurs has punched above its weight for several seasons, now, and we continue to remain competitive.

Oh, when I think about it, I also predicted that both Nasri and RVP would leave the Gooners, despite (almost violent) opposition from the likes of PESKIE that they wouldn't. In fact, I've predicted a fair few things about the Gooners on which I have been proven correct.

  3. More "wishful thinking" than "prediction," though, wouldn't you say?

could argue that Bale staying even if you miss out on CL football is also wishful thinking!

  5. Not at all.

Did you see the evidence upon which I have based my prediction?

Cliff Jones speaks in an almost blase way on the subject. He's been right, so far.

Plus, point me to one interview with Bale where he has offered even the remotest hint that he'll be leaving Spurs any time soon....

I don't believe that my view regarding Bale is wishful thinking, in the slightest.

However, speaking to the BBC’s Football Focus programme, Bale admitted: ‘If we don’t [qualify for the Champions League], I have to sit down [with Spurs] and discuss what’s best for myself.’

A near-dead 75 year old expert said Bale is staying forever. I would listen to the senile Welshman. He is one of the most respected authorities on the transfer market

  13. Forgive me for yawning, but I've gone through all this bull5hite for the past two seasons, and this one is no different.

Did Cliff say Modric would stay too?

Can Cliff tell us who the next Chelsea manager is... in his blase way... then it must be true

  15. As far as I know, Mr Jones isn't friends with either Rat-Face or Mourhino.

I gave you what you wanted and it suggests that Bale would leave you if he feels he can better himself.
