Disagree. What would be nice if they were reduced to nine men, would be for us to give them a right royal stuffing, just to show them how it should done & not have to rely upon an injury time gift from the ref. In similar fashion to what we did to the Dirty Weeds at their place.
Only if it made it about 4-0 to us! Can't be dealing with these 1-goal leads or needing a winner, going into the last 5 minutes! You only have to look at Twitter to see the passion some these lads have for the club - especially Battocchio. He genuinely seems to love it here, so hopefully he will sign up for a long contract as soon as it is offered... Along with a few others!
Your team did a very good job on us last night, I fancy Watford to beat Cardiff & that means we'll need to beat Boro..
With Cardiff 7 or 8 points ahead of Hull and Watford I think most people would agree that they will not be caught with only 6 games to go. With Brighton dropping 2 points last night they in 6th place are 9 points behind Watford. I feel fairly sure now that a play off place is the minimum we will get. I had thought that in a play off we might get beaten, but after last nights backs to the wall showing I think we could make it through. Rather not take that route though if possible.
I wouldn't be too sure about that ofh - in their remaining seven games, they have to face us, Hull and Forest. Three games there that they could easily lose & bang goes their 8 point lead. They also have to face Barnsley - admittedly at home, but tough nuts to crack recently as we discovered, and I'm sure that SD will not be giving anything away to his old boss either when Cardiff visit there. Saturday will be interesting.....
Does anyone think that knowing how Hull have done prior to us kicking-off will affect either side at the Vic?
Don't know about the teams, but if Hull have dropped points, I can imagine one almighty party atmosphere in the Rookery.
I don't know, but I'm sure Hollowhead and Steve Bruce will have something to say about how the FL is against them and favouring the cheats at Watford.
Hi, The last thing we needed at Cardiff was to see you win last night, when are we going to get an easy life? No matter what anyone says when you win games you deserve credit, if you finish above us then it is because you did better than us over the season that is all. The three of us have all had a great chance to seal auto by now but winning seems to get harder. You beat Hull and if you beat us then you have earned your position. Right now we have to consider the team in 3rd as the threat to our auto hopes and will treat you as such but surely that gives you respect. Should you overtake Hull then we will hope they lose instead. This is only the way you and Hull will be looking at things. jck
I don't think Steve Bruce will complain or ever consider calling Watford cheats - one of the things that has impressed us up here has been his general attitude to the game, it comes across in all of his interviews that he is really enjoying himself and has a very honest and open approach. He always gives credit to the opposition where it is due and very rarely offers any criticism of other teams. We may "pull your leg" about your squad but that's only banter and you'll find very few complaints coming from East Yorkshire.
Whoever told me not to parkin that car park was right!! A nightmare getting out ( 40 mins) and a whole host of disgruntled car loads who would not let us in. Yes Vydra sprinted on at the end of the game.. .was really revealing.... Another game or two and I am sure we will be back to form. Those passes must start getting thorough again. BTW noticed that chalobah was on and off with his ball distribution and we played the ball a lot to him. Lloyd did some great moves on the rh midfield and always looked a threat.
Cheats. It will be a travesty if a team that isn't even based in this country gains promotion to the premier league. Although if the FA have any integrity about them they will block you from achieving promotion this season, should you qualify to do so. That is all.
You were lucky! We always used to park on there but the club would only pay stewards to control traffic until 5.30 on a Saturday afternoon and they always knocked off on the dot. Resulting "everyman for himself" chaos often meant that it took over an hour to get back onto the road.
Yes never use Walton Street car park. Getting out of there is like driving in an Italian city center. Oh wait.......
