Neil Redfearn has taken over...temporarily it would seem. No change really then..the downward spiral continues?

According to BBC: Former England keeper David James has announced on Twitter: "I am going to sign for IBV in Iceland today. My role is as player/coach, alongside Herman Hreidarsson. We are both very excited about the journey ahead." ak will keep us updated.

I don't look closely at IBV, but this is in the newspaper from yesterday evening. http://www.mbl.is/sport/efstadeild/2013/04/02/david_james_er_mjog_spennandi/ Enski markvörðurinn David James skrifaði nú undir kvöld undir samning við ÃBV um að spila með liðinu à sumar auk sem hann verður aðstoðarmaður Hermanns Hreiðarssonar þjálfara liðsins. Ãg hef aldrei spilað með liði utan Englands og það verður nýtt fyrir mig,“ sagði James við mbl.is eftir að hafa skrifað undir samning við Eyjamenn. ,,Ãg er ekki à vafa um að reynsla mÃn mun koma liðinu til góða. Ãg verð lÃka Hermanni innan handar með þjálfunina ég er mjög spenntur fyrir þvÃ. Ãað eru sex vikur sÃðan Hermann kom að máli við mig og viðraði þá hugmynd að ég kæmi til Ãslands að spila. Ãg tók strax vel à þetta en ég þurfti auðvitað að huga að ýmsum málum áður en ég gat tekið endanlega ákvörðun,“ sagði James, sem heldur til Englands á morgun en er svo væntanlegur aftur til Eyja seinni partinn à aprÃl. English goalkeeper David James signed a contract this evening with IBV to play with the team this summer and he will Hermann Hreiðarsson's assistant coach. James says he is very excited for this new project, but this colourful goalkeeper who will be 43 years old this year, in a magnificent career. "I've been a pro for 26 years and I am very excited now about the new chapter in my career. I wanted to play with IBV against VÃkingi ÃlafsvÃk the night before last, but Hermann would not let me because I was not ready to sign a contract. It is about eight weeks since I last played the game but I'm physically fit. I've never played a team outside of England and it will be new for me", said James with mbl.is after having signed a contract with island team. 'I do not doubt that my experience will be a good team. I will also help Hermanni with the training I'm very excited about this. It is six weeks since Hermann came to talk to me and suggested the idea that I could come to Iceland to play. I was immediately interested in this course, but I had to consider many issues before I could take a final decision", said James, who returns to England tomorrow and is likely to return to the island later in April.
................Ãg hef aldrei spilað með liði utan Englands og það verður nýtt fyrir mig,“ sagði James ----- I've never played a team outside of England and it will be new for me", said James..... He lies - David James was in goal for Bristol City in Cardiff on 13 August 2011 in a 3-1 defeat.........
Not to mention the 20 or so European fixtures he has played in for Liverpool. Villa and Pompey- I'm sure they weren't all home games. And how many England caps did he win? I'm equally sure that they weren't all at Wembley.
Ipswich have announced losses of almost £16m for the financial year ending June 2012. Ipswich made £10.8m on player transfers in the year ending June 2011 following the sales of Connor Wickham and Jon Walters, but that figure plummeted to just £248,000 over the next 12 months. The overall turnover was down by over £2m to £15.04m, while the club's overall debt rose to £79.62m. Ipswich's wages-to-turnover ratio is one of the highest in the Championship at 119% - an increase of 17% on the previous year. This looks like an accident waiting to happen.
And Bristol City's is 157% Yet many still believe that we are "all that is wrong with English football".
It 's because we are an easy target for crap hacks - foreign owners, loads of loan players etc. But to expose these clubs would be just too painful
To be fair to the media, remember just how vitriolic the reaction was towards the Wobby, and Affleck in particular, when they revealed what was going on? If that situation didn't resolve itself quickly, or if the Wobby had been more persistent in the intervening period, the resulting loss in circulation could have been the death of the paper. The nationals are far more resilient, but it's the same principle. Controversy is always good for a quick buck, but it's far less risky to pour cold water on a good thing, than to expose a horrific situation before it is undeniable.
Anyway, congratulations to Chester FC for their third consecutive title. I'm sure all football fans are hoping that they can make it four in a row. Not wanting LooTown to win the Conference aside, I think a team going from nothing straight into the league would give several sets of fans hope for the future. In two years' time we could easily see Portsmouth and Coventry reform, two clubs bigger than anything that has gone extinct in my lifetime.
Maybe BB can tell me if there is a difference in points deductions over the border. Normally it is 10 down south. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22085474
Can't answer that one I'm afraid, ofh - I thought that 10 points applied too, but it seems more to be at the discretion of the powers-that-be, judging by this. It may well be all moot anyway if the proposed restructuring goes ahead. Whilst this decision certainly places Dunfermline into the danger zone, if restructured there won't be any relegation. Another kick in the teeth for Rangers as there won't be any promotion either.
In reality they don't really care about the teams outside the Premier league unless its a big issue which creates headline or a media darling like Holloway makes a comment about it. BTW Cardiff aren't exactly racing to promotion..shame we're all so inconsistent behind!
