We play teams in the relegation dogfight (Ipswich, Wolves, Bristol City and Barnsley) along with out out-of-form Middlesbrough and Steve Bruce is a smart manager. He keeps their heads high. Look at the Palace and Bolton defeats away from home. We ended up tearing Birmingham a new 'un. We'll be fine as long as we can hold out and all goes to plan on Saturday.

    It won't.

We've only lost back-to-back games once all season. Our ability to keep going and remain organised and focused no matter what happens has been one of our biggest strengths this season.

I did, and was just setting others right who thought we didn't have injury problems.

Nice to see such graciousness in defeat!

    1) Why do you think Deeney is a c***?
    2) Only 1 eye-tie in the side (Cassetti)
    3) Diving???
    4) Hardly any time-wasting - we were screaming at Bond to hang on to it - seen far, far worse at Vicarage Road
    5) Hilarious that we wanted to celebrate a MASSIVE win?

    Sad.

Some of that in your last few paragraphs is baffling, because if City had done the same, ie time wasted, ran the clock down, you'd be praising our players for doing it.

If we'd won the match tonight the city fans and players reaction would've been exactly the same. So don't talk bollocks.

City have come crashing down to earth again, our form has been shocking and we can't beat the better teams.

Got to pick ourselves up for Boro.

Deeney was a **** because of his 'injury' nonsense immediately before making a sudden recovery to score and then celebrating practically in the South stand for no real reason.

The time wasting was ridiculous and the ref let you get away with it until stoppage time like they always do with away teams at the KC. To be honest I was disappointed because I thought Watford would have grown out of this crap now what with so many new personnel and the new playing ethos but true to tradition you did the boring Watford thing just like the last time you came here.

I don't know what he was on about RE diving but just thought I'd explain those two points.

Its ironic with our loan players filling the squad our two "heroes" were a striker from Walsall and a young goalie from the youth system..it does show we have other players.

Anyway sounded like a close game with one moment of magic deciding it.

Lets see what happens for the next 7 games..this league is so unpredictable its hard to guess anything right!

    1) Deeney did nothing but elbow, headbut, back into and slap our defenders in order to win a header then the second it was done in return, he'd hit the floor and curl up as though his tibia had just imploded within his leg. He then had the nerve to time waste and comes across as an egotistical moron.
    2) Sorry for not specifying my term for your tiny brain. The majority of Watford players are from Udinese which is an Italian side is it not? Therefore I just generalised the term by referring to them as Italians. I wasn't actually implying they were all Italian.
    3) Yes, diving. This amazing thing were if your player with possession didn't actually beat a man, he'd hit the Ground every time and pretend to have cruciate ligament damage.
    4) Hardly any time-wasting? Were you actually at the game...? <doh> Every chance your players got, they'd kick it away, walk as slowly as possible to retrieve the ball. Christ, Vydra took 3 minutes to walk off the pitch himself. One of your players was booked for time wasting (kicking the ball away).
    5) A massive win which keeps you where you started at the beginning of the night. You'll lose to Cardiff, we'll beat the smoggy twats and all will be back to normal and you're Cup Final will be a distant memory.

You can ask those that sit around me, I hate it when our team time wastes. It shouldn't be allowed and ruins the game.

I do apologise. This is definitely out-of-character but I've had a few before and after the match meaning I have less control over what I type or not <laugh>

I'll regret all this tomorrow morning when I log back on.

I do agree generally time wasting and diving isn't good for the game but then nor is the abuse officials get but players get away with that.

Unless they actually do get punished with bans (not little fines that are pocket money to most footballers) nothing will change.

Ofcourse in reality the money men probably see it as part of the package and don't want to upset the big clubs/players - bit like with their wages and the fact the players and the agents seem to have power over the clubs.

As for us signing - well that is a rare event in itself but I am sure in reality our supporters and team won't be getting too over confident!

    Particualry so in this league.

Watford: I was quite impressed to be honest. They were extremely well organised and their fitness levels must be the best in the league because every one of their players put a shift in for the full 90 minutes. We didn't have time on the ball at all during the whole game. Their midfield completely pissed over ours for the majority of the first half, especially that Chalobah; what an absolute tank of player! Sure in the second half they time-wasted etc but they were winning, every team does it. I don't know how Vydra's scored so many goals because he was ****e the entire match.

    Chester: sound as usual.
    Hobbs: sound as usual.
    Faye: sound as usual.
Elmo: Didn't really impact the game although put some half-decent crosses in from tricky positions.
Brady: As above, until Quinniesta came on, then really had the beating of their full back.

Koren: I really don't know what he brings to the team right now.
Bruce: Feel sorry for the lad, pretty decent centre-back playing woefully out of position, offers nothing in attack or defence in centre-mid. Neither does he have the positional brain to be anything of a hindrance plodding around instead of evans, cairney, Quinn etc.
    Boyd: Wasted in centre-mid

Gedo: Worked like a bastard but recieved no service at all. I don't know how some of you can question his place based on last night, he would have buried some of those penalty scrambles at the end.
Simpson: Infuriating - capable of bringing down a 100 yard pass like it's nothing, then a two yard grass cutter bounces off him out of the ground.

Quinn: Needed his engine and feet sooner, brought brady out of his shell.
    Evans: Should start at Boro.
Prozzer: Keep this man away from my club.

The above may sound critical or negative but I actually thought the players did alright, we just haven't got a stiker who can collect it, drive past a defender and bury it. (As boyd was midfield and Aluko is out). Keep the faith, I am confident we will dick Boro and come second. Watford are a good team but they are prone to losses like everyone else. I'm feeling positive about the next few games.

It just reinforces how integral Meyler and Quinn are. Without them we're ****e in midfield.

Vydra has gone off the boil somewhere but all strikers have their barren runs of form.

We've had strikers over the years who wouldn't have 20 shots a season..let alone 20 goals so not complaining too much!
