I know you're being sarcastic but I'm dead serious. We always **** things up against teams "we should be beating". and I'm not saying this is very hard, i expect a win v boro and bristol. But I'm not happy playing on form teams like wolves and barnsley that are fighting for survival.
I'm really pissed off that we're doing this the hard way as always when we had a glorious opportunity for the first time in our history to create a big gap with 3rd place and control the rest of our challenge.
The bit in bold is utter bollocks and a total myth created by City fans, there was a time when it was true but it couldn't be more wrong now. If you look at how many games we've won against the likes of Cardiff, Watford, Palace, Forest, Brighton, Leicester, Middlesbrough, etc it shows we are **** against the decent teams but beat the lesser sides. Just because of Wednesday and Peterborough, the only real exceptions, people keep harping on with that ****.
As for the game, we got it all wrong. We let them play first half. We didn't attack or close them, just let them play. Boyd is a striker, he was shocking in midfield. Koren was fairly poor. Thought Gedo looked the only man likely to threaten yet he got taken off. Everytime Proschwitz doesn't play for a month people start to think 'He could change this game.' Then he comes in, and proves once again, he's terrible.
Really, we should be pretty down after this one. When you consider all the momentum is with them now, they should be on a high and us on a low. Furthermore, our record against top 6 sides and the blow of missing out would make the play-offs an unlikely route for success. I can't help but feel though, that Watford could easily lose against Cardiff and have a **** end to the season still. They shouldn't, but in this division which is so 'competitive' (low in quality) anything can happen.
