"Rangers are embarking on what will be a far-reaching restructuring programme at various levels of the Club and will not be deflected from the task despite attacks from the newspaper in question."

Restructuring - and organising friendlies with Linfield to take place at Ibrox before the season is finished. I told ye, something not right with cash flow.

All over the internet that workmen have downed tools at ibrox as they've been told there's no money to pay what they've already done, never mind future repairs etc.

One possible answer being he was ****e? I know it's not as exciting as him being a smack crazed *****phile or the club descending into financial chaos, but the scouting system has been pretty dire for a long time.

So saying no scouting system is perfect. John Park's probably the most successful in Scotland at present. He brought all the Hibs guys (Brown, Thomson, Whittaker etc) through before going to Celtic. He is rightfully praised for some of his discoveries , but not all of them make the grade. There have been some pretty costly failures too which doesn't attract the same publicity due to the success of the likes of Wanyama or Hooper. Our signings this season haven't performed well and as there are fewer positives to take we will naturally complain about the system.

There are surely other factors that come into play when scouts recommend a player. I mean look at the players that just can't seem to settle in their new environment. There are also players that can't seem to cope with playing with a bigger club. Maybe that's what has happened with some of our guys this season. I suppose it would be even freakier for some of our signings in that they were going to a bigger club yet also playing a couple of leagues below their supposed levels.

    indeed.

its shows that the news stories of last year are a distant memory that certain people have to bam up non-stories like this as its all they have to work with, its not like he's an alky *cough, thommo*...

Director Craig Mather runs a youth development company for footballers, looks like his company will be taking over the scouting from now on.
