So are they wanting a clean slate type of thing? Would they be willing to give the same to any of our members who might be banned over there? ( I haven;t got a clue who is or isn't)?
People like BBF have already been allowed back as far as I'm aware ? I think if anyone asked our mods to be allowed back then they would - they sometimes ask us first. I think all banning should be banned and the banners should then be ban hammered by the banneree
I think a ban amnesty for everyone other than Ben Arfa could work but it would mean work for the mods if they go too far and need to be banned again. But if the majority on here are happy as things are then this would be a very bad idea.
Think you have too many who just have a laugh with it and too many who possibly take te words to heart. Coud be tough but would be really peeved if we unbanned the lot and then had the same stuff happen again and then go back to the supermod to re-ban. He would look at us like we are crazy or worse, the Swansea board.
I have no issue with having a clean slate but I think the board needs to be in agreement about certain individuals, for example there is no point in letting matth come back only to be slaughtered by all and sundry (please note, this is only an example, matth is not allowed on the site at all nowadays anyway)
BBF was banned but normally when someone is banned we would just ban the new account too (as you do ). I've always said on our board that nobody should be banned from our board as opposition fans give different (even if bollocks) views which spark debate. Users need to stop being so sensitve in my opinion.
Strictly speaking, that is not the case. We were aware of the many multiple accounts you guys created but not many where banned, only Sweats' alterntive ego 'charliesheen' account was banned as far as I am aware. I was speaking to NOF over the weekend: I have made clear I banned him but also made clear to him that I knew who I was talking to and his response gave the impression that he accepted I knew too. But he remains unbanned despite is recent comments (which were made on the Man Utd board) that I have been informed about.
He is now and deservedly so but not sure his alternative ego is. Couldn't agree more about the sensitive bit but there needs to be a limit. One of name calling in a jokey banter kind of way is okay but when it because constant abuse between certain posters it because extremely annoying for other posters. At what point do you draw the line?
I suppose it knowing where to draw the line. I often have jokey banter but very, very rarely do I get involved in the name calling as I think it's childish and pathetic. Often cringeworthy to read. From what I can see though there are certain posters who can give it out but as soon as a opposition fan gives it back they start crying and saying **** like '**** off to your own board''.
Use this line -------------------------------------------------------------------------- if you want, I don't need it
I do not tolerate name calling but I do participate with some of the regular posters I get on with such as yourself, RHC, Enricky, Bluff, Mr Gonzo etc. Basically, people that know how to take me. I wouldn't drop a name call into a conversation with Sweats, Ruff, Drogs, etc because it isn't appropriate
Got people talking anyway. 6D is having a go now thinking that unbanning everyone is what I want, he's way off. I'm not so sure it would be a good idea but it might be fun.
Why don't you just admit that you think some bans are harsh and should be overturned rather than worry about 6Ds If a United fan offered 6Ds a million pound for nothing. No strings at all. He'd still say no just because it was a United fan giving it too him. You'll never please everyone particularly the extremists Luv
