IMO If we win tomorrow that will be second almost guaranteed. Then we can go for the title, so hopefully we Watford can beat Cardiff on Saturday. IMO if we had this squad from the start of the season, instead of slowly building it through the season we'd have won the league.
Not just that, but what if we had Fryatt and Aluko all season as well? Not forgetting Dudgeon either, though Brady has been a great replacement - he has 10 assists, the 4th most in the League.
Personally mate, I am hoping we're both mathematically promoted before the final game, but with both teams in with a chance of the title. Then we can have a gutsy euphoric final day match with the title to play for but knowing that no matter what, we're both promoted. Followed by joint celebrations inside and outside the ground, leaving Udinese B and Hollotwat to fret over the play-offs, (with Brighton to win them). Should I bookmark this post?
Actually I was wrong - Brady is joint 2nd on the assists table. And Elmo does have 9 assists - Simpson has 8, as does Boyd.
True - but if we have players with **** loads of assists how come no ****er has scored 10 goals? It's a mystery...
Because our goals have been spread around the team whereas our assists have pretty much all come from out wide or from Simpson/Boyd.
I'm 18 and I'm surprised I didn't have one in injury time on saturday - God knows how i'll cope tonight and for the rest of the season
I'd more or less go with that: Hull win: Hull go up. Draw: Hull should go up. Watford win: Hard to pick a favourite. We would have the confidence of having won the toughest game in our run-in, but you would still be a point ahead with what on paper is the easier finish.
Disappointing result tonight- thought the balance of our side was wrong (we missed Meyler). A curiously lethargic display until we woke up too late. Not a terminal **** up but need to regroup and refocus with 6 games left. No more slip ups or games where we get outfought please!
Thought Watford were excellent in the first half. Good football, good retention of the ball, and quick in the challenge. We were more like ourselves in the 2nd half but still not quite convincing. Disappointing, and something for the Watford fans and players to be energised by. Mind you, us beating Middlesbrough on Saturday would do the same here, and I'm not sure Watford can perform like that again at Cardiff. 6 games, half at home, half away and it's pressure time.
We outplayed them. Everyone seems to be missing that. They defended well but they must have had one shot all game and didn't enter our penalty area at any point.
No we didn't. They let us play in front of them second half. That's all they needed to do .their goal was coming from about the 20 th minute.
That's the type of thing Burnley and Huddersfield fans said recently. They came with a plan and executed it.
