If as predicted by numerous sources NP is sacked who is out there to take over as some of the names bandied about are frightening?

Roy Keane. - no no absolutely no
    Mark Hughes. - as above
Martin O'neill - cant see it happening
Owen Coyle. - one of my personal choices
Neil Warnock. - cant fit enough swear words in for this one!
Roberto Dimatteo - Champions League to Championship? - not going to happen
Brian McDermott - spent years at Reading so knew club inside out, could he do the same here?
    Be a big gamble

Sure there's many many more but these will be the obvious ones.

Unless we can find out what magic potion Billy Davies has used at Forest!

After I came off the pitch after playing a match last night the talk was about NP being given the push... apparently something to do with an altercation with Wood after he had tried it on with NP's daughter.. It's amazing the stories that you hear, but the general hum was that Warnock was the man lined up... Not that anyone wanted him near your club that is.

Out of your list only Owen Coyle would be worth the job, although I think RDM could be an outside bet as he hasn't worked since the Chelsea debacle but I'm sure he'd be holding out for a Prem job which hasn't been forthcoming as yet.

Roy Keane- might just have the personality and fight that you need.

    Mark Hughes- just no.

Martin O'Neil- doesn't have the personality or fight.

Owen Coyle- would be a brilliant appointment, I really rate him.

Neil Warnock- as a neutral it would be hilarious.

    RDM- not going to happen.

BrianMcDermott - I reckon he would get you into the play offs, would be a decent appointment.

Steve Bruce- keep your greasy hands of him Leicester or you will suffer the consequences.

Roy Keane? I'd rather **** in my hands and clap many many times!

Whether or not the owners would try to poach another manager? I only listed out of work ones.

    For me Owen Coyle

I'll back Pearson till the end, hes having a bad time at the moment, but i think most can see what hes building here.

BUT IF Pearson is to get the sack, i want Martin O'Neil, no other manager will do, they would all be a downgrade imo.

    You obviously don't know MON.

At least there is no possibility of us getting Di Canio :emoticon-0141-whew:

How many clubs has Sven got out of the Championship? How may clubs has Coyle got out of the Championship? What is it you are currently trying to do?

Not rocket science is it surely? Well maybe it is to you.

Di Canio would have been an sbsolutely terrific apppointment

Roy Keane is the sort of strong personality that we need.

Coyle got Burnley promoted, admittedly went tits up at Bolton but I was looking along the lines of out of work so no compensation fee to pay after the club has paid Np off at 20k a week

I'm shocked that anyone would even have the audacity to write this... As an Ipswich fan I can assure you that he has been our worst manager in my lifetime and ultimately set the club back 5-10 years having been pushing for the play offs before his tenure and been staving off relegation since.

He has a strong personality yes, but all that ultimately achieved was upset the applecart and he ended up giving away some of our better players (like Jordan Rhodes <yikes>) and replacing them with expensive flops like Tamas Priskin.. I'd like to think he's learnt from his mistakes but I think all he'd do is make you boring to watch and ultimately upset everyone at the club from top right through to the bottom.

    True, but sunderland was terrific.

Maybe as a caretaker till the end of the season...
