Late to answer this, but it only has to do with JWP's age/experience. I still don't feel he is the best option in most situations based purely on performance, although it may very well be I'm just too nervous and should be able to look past his age/size/experience. But I like him very much as a player and I think he will be a good player and possibly even better in the next 2-3 years. If we were 3-1 I might put JWP in for the last 15-20 minutes. That's about as bold as I dare be. But you are correct in that JWP has generally looked pretty decent, and it worked out fine in the Chelsea game and he got some valuable learning experience. Pochettino was right and I was wrong, as has generally been the case with his usage of JWP so I was giving him credit for that.
