Re the p[assion, there were 19,000+ there today, desperate to get behind the team but they didn't really give us anything to get our teeth into until Sam's goal. Maybe it should be the other way round but this season's woes have kind of knocked the stuffing out of us...

Of course you will Banksy. We've all been here before, unlike Shiny, we all feel like sh1t at the moment. So we get the bitterness and poison out of our systems before the end of April and enjoy the cricket season.

But come end of July / early August, we'll be ready for another 9 months of delirious enjoyment - dire misery and all the emotions in between.

Once a City fan always a City fan. You know it makes sense, cos what else would you do on a Saturday afternoon?

Been an ST holder now for 17 years..

If we go down I wont renew, but will get down as often as possible, i have been to every ground in league 1 except Crawley and I aint in a rush to get there to be honest.. My son is just about to head out to a reasonable level himself (wherever that may be) and I do fancy watching him as much as possible too..

Me and my mates all feel the same and I feel a little sad at the end of an era..

thanks cidered <ok> it was a serious question.

under him you have a great home record. not lost any is that right? what is he doing different in away games then where his form is not as good? obviously you can see ward has done a better job for us then mcghee so showing it was the right decision we made. do you think mcinnes would have done better than what SOD has done? was SOD the right man or looking back would you prefer to still have mcinnes?

i understand this completely. me and many gasheads felt the same in recent seasons all the way back to when trollope left. went through a stage where i wasnt interested on football that i would even watch match of the day which i always watched.

seeing this comment from a red and we felt it ourself, shows how bad bristol football has been. hopefully both new stadiums will change this <ok>

Mckinnes lost his way and started panicking.

It was obvious to see the positions we needed to strengthen and Del tried to strengthen them, this caused unrest in the changing room, then the board booted him in the bollocks and never backed him with the money, the bloke was dead in the water from then.

Now We have SOD who knows damn well they aren't good enough but also has to tow the financial constraint line, (but unable to moan because he knew the deal!) I think he'll go at the first sign of a better offer and claim his hands were tied here.

We so badly need a complete clear out....

Sad reading that mate, whether it's your opinion on where football is heading, player power, stupid wages, sky- or just city going down to league 1 i completely understand you not re-newing. But at the end of the day us going down is just a blip for the time being. Just remember, we're not losing 7-1 to Northampton to go bottom of division 4 <laugh> <wah>

CJS dont use that comment for a cheap shot! It isn't all about the football. it about a change of era, an age thing and the fact Fans my age lived through a different era of football, the whole thing is different now from the players to the 'new fans'

I have a son who I love to watch play because he's my blood. Its a change of epoch, but don't doubt I will be there as much as I can.. because I am CITY TILL I DIE...

we needed that when we got relegated. i was never keen when buckle joined us but our board backed him and he cleared out everyone and brought in a new squad using all the money. it went so wrong as you know. but SOD is much better than buckle so i doubt it will go wrong like it did for us. you need him to stay. if he leaves in the summer then whoever comes in may not get rid of the players who should be shown the door.

I was hoping he would ditch a few wasters for us but seemed to play the " they all start with a clean sheet with me" nonsense.

It could be possible the man is very intelligent and is doing the 'man management' bit till the end of the season, then plans a cull, problem with this for me is We gave up our Championship status too easily and went with a whimper.. I wanted to see us fight our way to the end, up or down!

cheap shot? there was no cheap shot. dont understand where you got a cheap shot from. if you see one then im sorry but i had no intentions to wum or disrespect you. a bit of what you put down was exactly how i previous felt about rovers so i understand where you are coming from. i was saying as you (a red) and me (a blue) have felt the same show how bad football has been. the tables dont lie. both sides have been struggling in the last 2 seasons. i was genuinly saying that i hope both our new stadiums will help change the fortunes on the pitch. sorry if that somehow offended you but seriously there was no cheap shot from me. i posted a thread a few weeks back about ashton vale saying i think you will get it. uwe looks certain to happen now. really confused by your reply. sorry <ok>

I never said you did, I said don't.

We ain't down yet, but I'm a realist, all i'm saying is at my age I don't have the hunger for league 1 in the same way I use to. but never worry there are plenty of young ones coming in behind me to take the reins...

Yes we are still unbeaten at home, but have not yet scored an away goal in SEVEN matches under SO'D. And that is why we are going down!

Once again with hindsight, which is a wonderful thing, I don't believe either McInnes or SO'D had a hope in hell of saving us, simply because we have several players left from the Johnson era who are so obviously not good enough for this level of football. No names now, we all know who they are.

Also in hindsight, I believe that if McInnes had stayed until the end of this season, he would have completed the clearout that he started last close season.

Thus together with those he signed for us, Heaton (I actually think he is over-rated as he does not move his feet enough to get into position to save, but that's for another thread) Pearson, Cunningham, Davies, Anderson, Kelly, Baldock and yes even Foster plus the best youngsters and three or four others coming in, who would form the basis of a pretty good side for League One.

Now SO'D will clear out the dross, but his list will be diffrenet to McInnes' dross. And I still believe that McInnes would have got us back up quicker than SO'D will. DMc still young, wants to make a name for himself as a manager, while SO'D gives the impression of being ready for retirement and the OAP rocking chair.

But I could be eating my words at the end of next season, but somehow, I don't think so.

PS re your mention of McGhee; as soon as I hearrd he had joined as your manager, I felt very sorry for you. Yes he was reasonably successful at Brighton but almost all of his clubs after, were very pleased to see the back of him. Negative, dull and obviously a typical SAF clone. Teacups and all that. That is out-dated now.

I will be occuping my seat next season as normal, whatever league we're in. (unless I want to protest!)

<ok> interesting how you think that mcinnes and SOD would take you down but you think mcinnes would take you back up quicker. so knowing what you know now yes hindsight is a wonderful thing, you would prefer mcinnes still in charge over SOD?

after reading some comments tonight, i will be suprised is SOD is still around for next season. just my opinion though.

You find that rich!, well **** my boots you didn't even attend when we needed all our supporters most!

I've read enough of your hypocrisy for one lifetime...

Read the post again! where does it say I wont be going, it says I wont be renewing my season ticket but will be going as much as possible! thats for various personal reasons, not for some fake protest because my big ego cant stand the fact the board chose a different manger to me so I will throw my toys out of the pram until I feel at least justified to some degree by Dels sacking...

    New manager -- same ****..

How long till your next 'protest'....
