A 600+ mile round trip awaits Swans fans next week with a trip to our bogey side Norwich. Since both Clubs were promoted to the Premiership Norwich have beaten the Swans in high scoring affairs on three occasions, 4-3 and 3-2 at The Liberty and 3-1 at Carrow Road Neither team is in great form at the minute. Norwich have scored only one goal in their last four games while the Swans have suffered three consecutive League defeats. Norwich will be desperate not to get dragged into the relegation dogfight, while the Swans want to end their season on a high. It appears the Swans could benefit from a bit of squad rotation. Hernandez is in poor form and could well be replaced by Luke Moore, with Michu dropping back into midfield. Chico limped off on Saturday and it would be a great opportunity for Kyle Bartley to step into the fray. Norwich always appear to master our midfield physically so a few sessions with the Ospreys this week wouldn't go amiss for Messrs de Guzman and Ki. Famous Norwich fans - Thai Canary. Up the Jacks
I'm hoping that Chico's injury is short term , we can't afford Ash having another off day although to be fair to Monk I thought he (again) played well enough .Chico brings another dimension to the game and we've definitely missed him.Bartleys been a naughty boy (imo) and I'd be surprised if he figures again this season .
I just hope we can stop our losses against Norwich and our loss of form, so if we get a point, then I'd be delighted.
Would willingly take a draw on Saturday, it's one of my least favourite long haul trips leaving the Liberty at 6am and not getting home much before midnight not helped upon our arrival by our buses having to be parked a good ten/fifteen minute walk away from Carrow Road, then we're stuck for ages just trying to get out of the car park after the game having usually played badly and lost.
Never mind the pies, would you prefer Delia's baps or a muffin off Nigella? - http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081230133804AAud5Y1
Its our best time to play them and i fancy a win but a guttsy win....1-0 with michu to get the winner late in the game...
I'm serious about the pies mind you, they're bloody lovely at Norwich best pies in the football league. Chelsea had really nice pasties
I'll happily take a 1-0 win Dai. Don't like Nigella, bit of a mueller to me, as far as older birds go I'd happily let Carol Vorderman do some quadratic equations on me
Yes I remember our last win against the canaries, Borini played a blinder which shows how long ago it was!! Would love a point but can really see us getting a win...I'll say 2-0. Goals either side of half-time from Michu and Dyer. On the Chico front, I thought he was just being rested when he was taken off against Spurs, which was the consensus from the commentary too...did he actually pick up an injury?
No argument from me on that one. I did see some rather nice images of Ellie McPherson now turned 50, boy she could do a turn.
