Does anyone think that this matter of Di Canio's history would have been a media issue if our ex £50k a year director had just went his way to his new well paid USA non job post quietly? Am I being too suspicious when I consider millieband's way of leaving lets him pose as a "genuine" believer in equality, a "good guy" with principles, instead of an opportunist who deserts the country and his party for the $ and way to hide his jealousy of his little bro. I didn't hear much about this matter when DC was succeeding at Swindon!
Froggy mate there was none of this crap while he played for West Ham while in the PL or managed Swindon but, he comes to us and all hell breaks out why?
Did Milliband resign from government when his goose stepping leader Blair trampled all over the people of Iraq, what a hypocrite, he wants to sort out his conscience before he makes judgements on other people. PDC may just give us some hope of a team that will fight with pride and passion to wear the shirt. He may just be the manager we have been looking for to give young players who want to prove themselve a chance. I would prefer to go down with a team showing fight, guts and passion than a team who have given up before they step on the pitch.
I was just listening to Wray, swindon chairman, on Sky News. Very encouraging about the future for Sunderland with DC and very critical of DM. Seemed to Wray that Millieband was being very hypocritical as he was off to anyway and ahd never met DC. Apparently DC's agent is a jew and is his best friend, should lower the angst for those who care about the media views. It could be a very exciting time ahead, to use the old chinese saying / curse!!!
And i take it that we are a high profile club, judging by that comment. Pray tell me when this happened, certainly the media dont consider us high profile. Nor do the majority of the football following public.
I fail to see what Milliband brought to the club anyway. Goals scored.................. Nil Points earned..................Nil Cash input......................Nil Total use to the club........Nil For him to pack in because another employee of the club (Di Canio) has different political views is bullshit. At his other job (MP) more than half the employees there hold different political views , but he wasn't tempted to pack in until the gravy train pulled into New York. If he was half the MP that Dennis Skinner is , we'd all be begging him to stay in Westminster. Perhaps he's a bit worried that Mrs Milliband will be tempted to play away with our new Latino , I hear she has form.
Honestly? He;s a crook, a fooking politician, and has now realised that a charity does indeed pay......
Milliband has just used this for political grandstanding IMO. What exactly did he do for our club anyway???
When it comes to having a chance to have a dig at us, we seem to have become one of the most high profile clubs on the planet overnight.
Milliband had fewer scruples when his big chum Tony Blair was cosying up to George W Bush, a man not exactly known for his socialist credentials. All of this nonsense advances the club not a jot. We're in the poop with or without Milliband and it's Di Canio we now have to back.
Milliband and his brother are champagne socialists from privileged backgrounds. They along with most politicians only care about keeping their snouts firmly in the trough.
I don't think that you can put Ed in the same bracket as his brother...In my opinion he has been nothing but honest since he took over the leadership..
That, that, and that!! Seems like The Orwellian "thought police" are out in force for this appointment... Hope PDC does well for you, I really do, and you're much better off without that parasitic scumbag politician on board... Good Luck for the rest of the season!
A honest politician? A very amusing thought. A Marxist millionaire an even more amusing thought and possibly a lie to his own principles & preaching?
I've dealt with people from all parts of the political spectrum over the years and there's two constants which I have noticed throughout the decades. First is that the socialists seem to be the one to want free speech drowned out if anyone from the far rights wants to stand up and speak. Secondly, the far right seem to be more honest in their intentions - not that I necessarily like their intentions but they do seem to be forthright in what they intend. If Milleband were a proper socialist then he'd be concerned about his struggling brothers in Iraq and not bombing them. You're best off without him; I never understood what he was doing there other than perhaps to show he was a Man Of The People. He was never going to do anything for the club and was ready to do a Tony "I remember watching Milburn before I was born" Bliar if Sunderland ever had the fortune to hit Europe. Basically, he's a parasite and ready to live on the back of your club's name. Anyway, good luck for the future. We need all three of the North East teams to do well in the Premiership. A rotating top three will do me; the rainy side of the Pennines have had the spotlight for too many decades too long. Let's both stay up and get to the loftier end of the table next season.
