Now I've always made it clear that I expect big things from Henderson since we signed him, and he's rapidly becoming one of my favorite players? Why? Well he runs his socks off for 90 minutes, every game. He works hard off the pitch trying to improve. But, too many players have the work rate and not the talent - this is NOT the case with Jordan.

Don't get me wrong, he has a long way to go yet, but he's very much a diamond in the rough. He has a very mature footballing brain (if that's a phrase) for his age, his positioning and awareness is top notch, paired with his good passing range it makes him potentially a very lethal player. What's lacking from his game is goals, but with the 3 goals he's scored in the EPL, they've all been very good confident finishes.

Perhaps he'll never be world class or the bracket underneath, but he will be a very good, consistent player who you can always rely on. The sort of player we desperately need right now.

Keep it up Jordan lad <cheers>

He did well yesterday, a solid performance and a good goal.

His energy and stamina in the middle is something different that he offers compared to Lucas, Gerrard & Allen. I don't think he's found his role yet, is he one of the holding players, if so he needs to improve on his tackling, if he's going to be one of the ones pushing forward then needs to improve on his link up play contribute a few more goals.

He can score goals - he did it at Sunderland before he moved and the goals he's scored for us have been good finishes. Just needs to make those runs from deep midfield more often and get up to support Suarez.

Definitely deserves a prolonged run in the team now.

He should have played more games this season instead of introducing Allen back in the team.

Henderson is the new Kuyt. Lots of energy, always running, working hard from box to box. Tracks back, closes down, always involved.

He actually reminds me a bit of Frank Lampard some times when he runs from midfield. If he can match Lampard's goal record he will be great for us. Remember Lampard didnt really get going until he was in his mid 20's.

Very much see a role for him similar to Terry MaDermott in a pass-and-move side, and I can't think of higher praise at all. But it's a waste tying him to the flanks as we've done on occasions.

Seemed like he was pretty angry yesterday when he scored I dont blame him. Allen on current form is not fit to lace Hendos boots.

Quit a few times now Hendo has found a gap from midfield to go through one on one with the keeper. I remember everyone slating him for missing against Stoke last season but he has got better at it now.

Also, just like to mention how everyone laughed at the £16m price tag. Nothing was said about Phil Jones who signed for the same.

Future captain of LFC if he keeps it up. Top player. Loved the goal against Villa too, thought he was gonna miss it.

Made up that he scored. I half expected him to have a really bad game after being dropped despite his good form, maybe suffering from confidence or something. Says alot about his character that he came right back into the team and proved that he should never have been dropped with a good performance.

I hope he keeps on building. Could definitely see him adding a few goals to his game with the type of breaks he makes from midfield. Sorry Allen, you've really got to step it up to get into the 11 next season.

Unfortunately, with Rodgers in charge; he doesn't. He could play as **** as he wants and still get in ahead of Hendo.

I think that'll change from now. The fans are really getting behind Jordan with his performances and Rodgers will come into some serious grief if he drops him again for Allen without Joe having to prove his worth first. I think Rodgers has to stick with Hendo now if he wants to keep the fans on side. Besides, it might actually be good for Allen to have to work his way back into the team (not that I think he'll ever improve enough, but that's a different issue!) and not be content knowing that his bum buddy manager will instantly return him to the team.

His composure was superb yesterday. He rounded off a beautiful move with a great finish. He will be outstanding for us, as I believe Allen will be.

As a Sunderland fan with an interest in the lad, it is good to see that he is starting to make an impact for Liverpool..

That is simply not true, Allen has been on the bench for plenty of games he doesn't just get the nod indefinitely - not sure why people think this is the case, he was wrongly played against Southampton though.

and United. Think it is what, twice now during the season that Hendo was in good form and was dropped to give Allen a game. Very strange as he had momentum, was playing well, getting some goals/asissts. Think the best thing, unfortunately, for Allen was to get shutdown for the rest of the season with the surgery. Get his head back on straight, work hard in the off-season and come back determined.

I think Rodgers knows all too well the fans thoughts regarding Hendo/Allen... only an idiot would not look at blogs/twitter/facebook to get the fans view on the way things are going and 100% of the fan base acknowledge the great things Hendo is doing

  19. A manager that starts listening to fans as already taken a first step to failure! A manager needs to be his own man. The best managers are always very stubborn/arrogant!
