Now then chaps. It's been a while. As some of you will know I've been a bit tied up lately, have been posting infrequently on a Newcastle forum but not had any time to read on here. Anyway with the latest developments at your club and the upcoming derby, aswell as having a free evening of doing nothing but sitting with a crate and FIFA, I thought I would get on here for a one night only catch up. 3 questions. 1) The obvious one - PDC. What are your overall thoughts? 2) I know it probably isn't at the front of your minds right now but what are your thoughts on the derby game? I'm guessing there will be a real bout of confidence now you have gotten rid of the frankly diabolical MON. I was extremely confident of a big win a week ago, now I will take a draw, your lads should have some real fire in their belly that they haven't had this season. 3) Relegation - are you staying up? Are we? I thought you were definitely going down with MON, now I reckon we'll both be quite comfortably safe in the end. Wigan, Reading and QPR to go. As a side note I should say, sorry Cest man, you must be hurting real bad right now but don't let it get to you. Marty was not the Messiah, he was in fact a ****ing **** football manager. Oh, and if you spot this thread, please give me a briefing on that favourite old argument of yours - the class factor. I really am wondering how you're going to keep using that old chestnut with a self-declared fascist leading your team out On a serious note lads, aside from being a ****ing idiot with disgusting political views, I love Di Canio. Politics has no place in football so really it shouldn't be a factor. I am as jealous as I have been about one of your managerial appointments in my life, I am genuinely absolutely gutted about it. Then again, at the time, I was quite jealous when you first appointed MON so hopefully this one goes down the same route. Fire away!
Delighted with Paolo. Haven't a clue on the derby now, which is good as we were nailed on to lose it with MON. We have a chance of staying up now, we were gone without the change. I think we'll just scrape through it.
1/ Read the threads you thick ****! 2/ Read the threads you thick ****! 3/ I couldn't give two ****s about your **** club,
1) I'm quite pleased with Di Canio, I feared for our safety whilst MoN was here, I thought for sure we were down. I'm looking forward to a more positive style of football. Sad MoN didn't work out though 2) whoever wins the derby is safe imo, not sure how it will go. Players will definitely be up for it, and I just hope Pardew tries to celebrate in front of Di Canio as he did to MoN. At this point you're favourites imo. 3) I think we'll both be safe. Definitely you will, for us it's how we will perform under Di Canio, all we need is wins imo, 3 would leave us completely safe
Self confessed fascist? Why not read what he has actually said rather than go by all the drivel being bandied about..
I was reading that PDC had been approached by the toon to be their manager? Not sure if it was before mid day and fell into the category of April Fool? Good joke that I did enjoy I have to say. It does sound as tho it will be an interesting few games ahead, whatever happens. The swindon owner, Wray, was on sky and he was very complimentary about PDC. I was a MoN man although every one here in Scotland said he had only one tactic when he managed Celtic, defend and attack on the break. They don't have a good opinion of him.
Di canio has been at the club 2 mins and I already think he's a ****ing legend The derby match we have more of a chance now than when oneil was here Think we will stay up
Cheers lads. General concensus is positive about Di Canio. He'll give the players a kick up the arse if nothing else, long term it may not work out but short term it should be a boost which is what you need.
I am as happy as a dog in a butchers shop. I think the derby will be a draw. I think we will stay up by the skin of our teeth as will you. I personally think Stoke will go with QPR and Reading.
Curveball. Can't see them failing to pick up the points at home like. Their fixture list isn't too horrendous if I remember correctly either. Nothing would please me more than to see them gone mind.
They're the only team who have picked up less points than us in 2013. 5 I think it was. They're on a very slippery slope
Well, safe to assume that QPR are going now, with Reading. We are the team in freefall but we've acted, I think it'll be us or Norwich, Norwich really are poor.
Wow that's absolutely shocking. They were woeful when they played us mind. Really terrible football. Chrissy H will give the players enough belief to get out of it there I feel. Still think Wigan will run out of luck this year, especially looking at their fixture list.
