Say you had the choice between seeing newcastle survive in the prem for another season, or seeing them go down but also winning the europa league, which would you pick? I'd be tempted to pick the trophy for some reason.

I'd normally always err on winning something but I think if you get relegated this season with the money coming in, you really could be in serious ****. So staying up.

I would go for the Winning Something and the drop option.

It's been so long since the Toon won something of worth and I won't be around for the next forty years of waiting. So, please, yes one proper trophy (that Bingo Lotto thing doesn't count as it's made from perspex anyway).

No. We need to stay up to keep our team together - we are only a few signings short of having a really special team... It's just that injuries and some baffling Pardew tictacs are masking that at the minute. Also, with the huge boost in premier league TV money just around the corner, to miss out would leave us trailing badly behind even mediocre premier league sides if/when we got promoted again.

Normally I'd agree but relegation this season would be devastating for any club because of the ridiculous boost in TV fees. 1st place this season will get less than 20th next season! That's mental money!

No brainer really. Survival in the PL more important than Europe. I'd keep my strongest team for the matches against Fulham & Mackems and 6 points there should see us safe.

Had this conversation a while back with some mates.I went for the winning something. As a fan for over 30 years and seeing us win **** all i would have to take the trophy. They can not take that away from you it would be there in dare i say ''black and white''.They could no longer say what the **** have you lot won lately?.I know the prem money is massive but with the so called really well run club and parachute payments we would have a great chance to come back. But in true toon style we would get beat in the final and go down happy days eh?

We have to stay up, no doubts about it. Would lose 10-0 on Thursday if we won the next two Premier League games. Staying up this year is more important than ever.

If we are relegated we will forfeit an enormous amount of revenue, but far worse than any financial implications would be the players who would undoubtably exit the squad.
We simply must stay in the Premiere League at all costs.

No. Unfortunately though I'm amongst those who don't take seriously the idea of Newcastle winning the Europa.

I wish I could be more optimistic but I can't see it happening!

The only thing of importance for us is staying up and we could have done without Thursday's match actually as Sunday's is far more vital.
It also gives us the weak excuse for being sluggish and disinterested versus Fulham, which is how we've played after each Europa tie.

We MUST stay in the Premier League. For the money more than football tbh because this season's Prem has been the worst in terms of quality since it began.

Anyhoo that's my slightly negative (yet honest) opinion, so apologies to those I might have offended in the process! :D

Sorry, but this is wrong. We might win something, but staying in the premier league is more vital for our future.

The Europa League would be a good achievement, but it pays next to nowt and it's just not worth getting relegated for.

I don't know if we have what it takes to battle up from the championship again.
